Airlines to Tokyo

I heard that the crew in delta and UA flights from SIN-TOKYO and back usually consists of mainly english speaking japanese crew?
Means the service can't be bad

That route won't last long. Will be closed in 4 month. As far as the crew - they are either NRT based or SFO based.

With SFO-SIN non-stop I expect that it will be entirely SFO based because UA will downgrade NRT's hub to just termination point.

But some SQ cabin crew damn fake. ANA and JAL very good service
Food on ANA is nice, if u like Jap food, but portion smaller. Personally I prefer Jap airlines, just that the wife likes SQ, cos more how lian........................

UA is very much improved. The horror stories about US airlines are more for their domestic flights. My first flight on UA to Tokyo was 7 years ago, even then I found them ok.

It is different between can fly can already and fake service. SIA is one of the top airlines for a reason. The safety aspects and the well trained pilots are part of the package. You definitely wouldn't want to end up being fish food.

SIA is no stranger to accidents they have happened a couple of times as well. Even a few times the plane havent even taken off yet. Just have to see luck.

took delta via tokyo to the US before, to me it was okay but JAL was a lot better
i guess UA should be same same as delta. if im not wrong UA is stopping their tokyo flights ex SIN starting june right?

Going again this Oct. Seems that tickets prices are still high.

Last year took MAS, transit KL, return only $475. Gone are the good prices from them. Maybe will try SQ but the timing there is really bad, to arrive at 10pm is really bad

Yes. From Jun this year. Price and timing is good.

Most expensive too. Dont think you need the service every other minutes during the 7 hour flight.
