this is another league from the Sony XM4. But from practical point of view the XM4 has enough to wow most people.

have both xm4 and apm... both are different leagues. in terms of bringing out regularly, i am still using the xm4 coz easier to keep and not so heavy. APM is used at home when i wanna blast movies/music without disturbing my fams. the ease of switching between devices is really seamless on the apm.

Is APM worth the price tag? The XM4 cost $399 but the APM cost $849. So sound stage wise so huge difference? I heard APM is heavy and also you cannot power off. Any issue with that?

i think you can find it at below $849 now. $6xx range can easily find on legit sources like Lazmall on lazada. Yes sound stage is different. its very hard to describe in words. You probably need to go and hear it yourself to decide for yourself which do you want. go to 313 at sony to listen to it... then go opposite to apple store at orchard and listen to the apm.

No issue with not having a button to power off the apm. I'm not even using the ugly case. Im putting it on the charger since i am not bringing it out. when not in use plug in to charger. will always have charge. The power management is better already after the latest firmware update.

The APM is very convenient to switch multiple apple devices. I watch movies on the Apple TV and listen to Apple music via the APM when its late at night where everyone else is sleeping. And i take teleconferencing via the APM too.

I use the xm4 when im playing ps4 by hooking it up to the controller. Dont need to power on the headphones. (which is a good thing)

i bring out the xm4 when im commuting.

Your use case may be different.

Any recommendations on lazada? Which legit source selling at $600+? Love to buy 1 and try. Ppl trying to pass used ones as new on carousell all selling $700 etc

Apple’s flagship store on lazada. Wait for the sales. Now its about $700+ . Note that you cant return it ya… Apple store policies dont apply on the lazada ones unless u buy direct from Apple.

You can also get from Qoo10 Korean stock with local warranty for less than $600 ex GST.

I didnt notice the advisory when i purchase it. For me it does work, just that if i leave the airpods max on the table to do other stuff before returning to game, the airpod max will go into the low power mode which i have to put into the case and take out again.

in event it doesnt work for you, just do a return for full refund within 14 days then and get the official one since the official one dont have the advisory that it doesnt work on airpod max.
