AirPods is designed for iOS devices. So Apple giving out lightning cable for AirPods is nothing unusual.

Of cos, cannot charge using laptop right out of the box is nothing unusual also.

Any possibility to expect reducing shipping period?

Hi, I just placed an order from Apple website and it says it will be delivered by 2nd Feb. Unfortunately, I will be leaving SG by 19th Jan.

I will cancel my online order if I get to find one in offline stores.

Just from anyone's experiences with Apple online store, is there any possibility that the shipping period can be reduced by several weeks?

Thanks a lot in advance

Hi there! And yeah, sometimes Apple may reduce the estimated shipping times depending on the stocks and how fast they can manufacture them.

You can also try getting it from those Apple shops and cancel your online order.

Garbage device. Just spend more and get the Bose qc35 wireless noise cancellation headphones. Much superior sound quality with noise cancellation to block out baby crying and all that crap .

If you can afford to buy this overpriced crap air pods, you can afford to pay more and get the qc35. Way better

Lol. they are both different product for different people. Not everyone like to wear a headband over their head.

I have a QC35 and Sony MDR-1000x but I'll still be getting the AirPods.

Earphones really cannot make it for sound quality. I test highest end Shure earphones also can't fight with Bose qc25. Spend $1500 but can't even beat a $300 pair of headphones

it is totally diff type of devices. if i want to compare headphones, i will compare it with other brands or beats. air pods are just ear buds, totally no wires and it will not look weird if i am driving and wearing ear buds compared to headphones. the noise cancellation might even cause me not to hear car horns which is dangerous...to me the ear pods will serve for music listening when i am in the office while phone is being charged, it will also be used to speak to customers or vendors during office hours, lastly be will used when i am driving for talking hands free

Likewise there are consumers that find headphones fugly and bulky regardless of how they sounded.

Talking about headphones in a airpods / earphones thread?

Different people have different needs .. you think in the office or elsewhere .. people can wear a headphone especially with noise cancellation? Different needs..

It's like saying why not use a home stereo system instead of headphones? They sound way better, none of the headphones I tested are better than my home stereo system :s22:
