Actually I think the problem is with the new MacBook and not the airpods. Most people are not as advance as your friend who is always looking for new stuff.

Pairing was super easy.

And really, it doesn't drop that easily. Unless you are really doing very intense movements or workout.

One can never have enough headphones. I have QC2, QC15, QC25, Beyerdynamics MMX300, Shure SE530/535/846, Plantronics 5200, two pairs of Sony Bluetooth headsets which I can't even remember the model number and I still want to get AirPods. Different times and requirements need different headsets

I actually ordered last week and was given a Tuesday 20th delivery date. Unfortunately after taking a shower, I deciddd to cancel the order and go to sleep. Morning wake up see 6 weeks delivery time. Regret big time man.

Regarding the battery, it isn't that bad. But probably because it's still new, the battery isn't properly calibrated yet and I'm losing 10% in 20-30 mins.

3rd party music apps is compatible and very much the same.

AirPods doesn't drop that easily but the feeling of scaring it will drop is there.

Seems like 100% can hit 3-4 hours per charge. More than enough for daily use.

Somemore with the battery pack can charge another 8x?
