TG, I don't think it's that... I believe it's more of need to churn out huge amount of food that needs to last longer on the trays which basically already lower the standard of food served.

This is why most of the best meals are usually individually served, where higher control of the standard can be obtained.

Bad enough I hate wearing anything more than polo t and jeans

I am usually of that, but well, i just brought along the business wear and that's it (and I think I wore the same suit for both formal nights). Frankly, as long as you turn out not in tees, jeans/shorts and slippers, they are fine with it. Just that you might find yourself a little less dressed up than the rest - some really deck out in gowns and tux... If you are fine with it, which I was, then it should not be an issue.

I have not heard of anyone being refused entrance as yet, but then again there might be a 1st... Ha Ha...

Hi alpc,

I wore the suit for the 2 formal nights too...hee..

The weather is cold there and you don't really perspire much..and it's only for a few hrs each night with the suit on..

In face, when u r eating, u can take off the jacket and leave it over your chair..

Yeah..it's a big hole for the wallet but trust me, no regrets when u come back..u would want to go again.

Bino I already got it.
I just hoot a 10x zoom lens to take closeup picture/video of the wildlife

Good choice, NCL is my favourite cruiseline. Freestyle cruising is awesome.

btw what kind of camera equipments you guys bring to Alaska to take pics?
I intend to bring my 24-70mm f2.8 lens for all the landscape and scenery shots & 28-280mm for all the wildlife zoom in shots.
Wonder is it enough as not too sure whether wanna get a super duper high zoom lens like 200mm-600mm lens

We actually brought a point and shoot camera on our Alaska cruise!
But we did bring along a video camera to record the moving scenery and a binocular to spot wild life!
