Should be fine then. Keep the wound clean and dry. If not eating/drinking and lethargic then must bring to vet

That's great to hear!!! Cat keeps licking the wound though. Shall I put a cone on her neck?

@lycans,

Just a question about vet fees, how much does one pay for a pet visit to the vet in OZ?

$65 - $75 for standard consult. Emergency vet fees usually much higher

Can I spray my female cat at the age of around 5 months plus? She already had her first heat?

Can but if your cat is in heat just wait a few weeks before desexing to let it die down first as going into heat makes the uterus very vascular and more bleeding.

My 4 cats have been taking turns to have diarrhea for 3 days last week. Mixed pumpkin in food and changed a new batch of home cooked food and it resolved over the weekend. Now it has started up again. Should I change to commercial food for a while and mix in pumpkin again? Or go to vet immediately? All cats still eat with good appetite and drink and play.

Let me guess....you are the type of owner who dont deworm or vaccinate your cats?

Like revolution? We had been using that but not since 3 months ago because they were starting to have bad reactions like lethargy after using it. So your guess is parasites?

Edit: I'm not certain about the vaccination, but its possible it was done when they were spayed or around the same time frame a year back.

Other things to consider is diet....perhaps you are feeding your cats all the bad stuff.

Always keep your pets up to date with worming and vaccination.

my cat although sterile has had a litter of kittens before. she does respond by raising her bums when we pat or comb her lower back.

Is this common?

Hmm I don't feed my cats human food. My cats's food are all only single ingredient prepared by myself with added taurine, calcium, salt with iodine etc. I am aware that they are obligate carnivores. Even the treats are single ingredient aka ikan bilis but then they haven't been fed that in a while.

For parasites, could you advise on Advocate vs Revolution? And also what would you recommend for a vaccination schedule?

Unless you are super confident of your nutrition knowledge, i wont be making food for pets.

Advocate + a tapewormer would be sufficient
