we just wait and see.... i dont think in the future nvidia gonna sell crazy price again due to

tight market and us economy is not stable.... so hopefully the price point will also effect

by this.... but whatever is it... for me nvidia is better than AMD... thats all...

You are right, Nividia and Intel are better than AMD because AMD is targetting peasants market. They are usually using technology 1 cycle older so as to maintain cheaper prices for the people who can afford better Nvidia or Intel products.

Is this for real? I have no idea if you are trolling...

In any case, even if it's true that AMD is using older technology, then it's interesting how AMD still manages to make its cards compete closely with Nvidia's.

I thi k Older technology is understood as rebranding here. I.E. rebranding cards like 7970 is 280x, 7950 is 280 and 290x will expected to be new 380x etc

Nvidia I think for Maxwell, has some considerably more attractive offerings by varying new architecture on different cards?
Entry Maxwell - 750Ti, Consumer maxwell - 960, enthusiast Maxwell - 980 and last but not least scammer/lame/disabled maxwell- 970

thats its true... i read few article about it.... its not trolling.. its proof... even amd dare to reduce price from 800 plus to 455 for 290x... so thats already a proof how naive is AMD....

Do you mean to say: "How naive AMD fanboys are" ? :D

Joke aside. Nvidia also got use older technology what (aka rebranding according to monikernemo above). I remember GTX 670 being repackaged as GTX 760Ti...this also considered using older techology right?? :s22:

nVidia does it too. It's called "rebranding" and they have done it for years.

Don't be a kumgong buyer, ok?

Actually, a bit pointless to be discussing stuffs like which card is more valuable for money etc. when it is not launched. So basically all these speculations are theory crafting, nothing more, nothing less.

Anyway the rule of the thumb is - if you want to be an early adopter of whatever that is the newest, fastest card in the market then you got to pay an overpriced premium to cover their R & D expenses. You most likely going to be agonizing your way through with their trials and fixes. Whichever comes out with the card first - do expect it to very expensive, until a similar tier card comes out from the competitor.

Rebranding is done across all brands, just part of a common strategy for product life cycle longevity.

No guys, I am not trolling or talking about rebranding and before anybody start spouting fanboy nonsense, please think about this: How can you compare a Ferrari to a Toyota/Lexus?

I have built a few systems of Intel, Nvidia and AMD for friends and my own household so I can safely say they all have pros, cons and hiccups.

There is no true winner and I hope it stays this way till the end of time. Think about it, the more they compete, the better our products become and the more enjoyable our computing experience is. So who wins? The consumers win it all.

All I want to say is let's embrace their competition to our benefit and share constructive comments to help each other enjoy more out of our rigs.

So what if you are a fanboy and your camp was outdone? Be frigging happy about it because it's SHOWTIME!!

Agree that competition ultimately benefits us, the consumers.

Curious though, in your example, who's the Ferrari and who's the Toyota/Lexus? Nvidia = Ferrari and AMD = Toyota/Lexus? :s13:
