Hi.
I've just got a Lenovo Yoga Slim Pro X with 2 USB-C Displayports.
I tried connecting to external monitor with a USB C to HDMI cable.
Monitor is Dell 2421H (1080P) with only HDMI inputs.

While the notebook detects the monitor, the monitor does not receive any signal.
Does this mean I need a 4k monitor?
I tried connecting to my 4k tv with the same cable and it is able to display my notebook.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I do not think it needs a 4k monitor for it to work.

U tried playing around with the display settings in your laptop?

Maybe the 1080p monitor needs a firmware update?

I figured it out. I had to change the settings in windows for external monitor to be 1080p and 60hz refresh rate.

Any usable codes from Lenovo? Looking to get basic laptop, maybe ideapad 3 series. Below $1k.

Good time to buy, Carousell is flooded with decent laptops with good price & still have warranty.
<1k4 can buy Legion 5 Pro RTX 3060 already.

Dun need gaming laptop and trying to stick to <$1k.
Then you try to look for Ideapad 5 Pro in Carousell, decent built quality & specs at this price point.
No good deal buying brand new. Retailers keep high price to offset for low demand

hi guys, can i ask for your thoughts of this particular listing?

i saw checking out the idea pro 5 idea on carousel,
can i confirm if this is the model that is being reference to -
Ryzen 7 5800H RTX 3050 Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Pro Gaming Laptop

i dont particularly need gaming specs, i dont game but in the odd blue moon occasion i will need it to run maybe OBS/VMIX ... otherwise it would be just work/office (and MS office + surfing stuff) stuff, also as a back up for family laptops that uplorry (INCASE!) and running windows)

my main laptop i currently use everyday is my M1 MBP but is giving me parallels issues

budget wisse -- hopefully <1.2k, i recently saw the laptops around this price at Best Denki,
up to 15" and it feels light, but unlikely for me to bring travels and all that carrying around.
