USB4 will be more important.

All desktop users can connect cable if need low latency and faster internet, but if the USB is not 4, you cant do anything about it.

yes could be why amd and mobo decided to use one gen5x4 for usb4 with 800 series board. most wont need gen5 ssd, 2 is more unlikely. but those need, should go with x670e

800 series is low effort refresh, amd could have use gen5 downstream to a new prom22 chipset and connect the usb4 chipset through here, make use of all gen5 lanes with am5 cpu!

but amd is greedy and evil now! pray for Arrow Lake fight back! :o

Whether it is the total number of PCIe lanes or just the PCIe lanes provided by the CPU, the result is still the same.

yes will have difference, with x800 boards, you have to be mindful where you insert your nvme ssd to prevent pcie sharing with gpu.

gen5x8 = gen4x16 for gpu, so result is same here, unless blackwell comes with gen5.

Being mindful of which ports share PCIe lanes is something you do with any MB.

buy already, sure ok.
tbh, looks pretty good if all local set.

not local set :s22: :s13:

CPU/RAM i not scared

just mobo i scared RIP easily but so far seems fine

memory training at first boot damn long
never adjust timings. just let MSI do the work (automated SK Hynix optimised settings with High efficiency mode enabled on tightest setting)

CPU and RAM dont need to worry, usually have international warranty. MB a bit big so ya get local unless its really cheap.

You can also consider the X670E version of the Steel Legend for S$348.

This is EATX not ATX. From US, so assume no warranty.

Zen5 like suffer same problem like apple, tsmc 4nm has under achieved. Why amd lock down to 65w at default. When see enabling full pbo, zen5 efficiency goes out of window!

So Pat is right on another prediction, intel can catch up tsmc!

Tiagong simlim will have tonight! Please give fr
Intel's power consumption is much worse, how could they catch up?

for gaming it dont matter, arrow lake with cudimm is very strong, some say stronger than 9800x3d. Somemore intel 3nm vs 4nm this time!

for multi task, P+E proves to be winning strategy

intel look strong why amd kancheong launch zen5 but need so many patching since

9950x only $900 at amazon lol
