I just received this amex card. Anyone can advise how do I link my current capitastar account to this amex card? there no instruction at all? or I got to go queue at the customer service counter everytime with my ic and amex card to get the points? anyone can advise. Thanks.

My amex card is auto-link to capistar account. All points earned will be auto transfer to capistar account after monthly statement generated. no min purchase required for point earning, better earning for cold storage purchase.

From our card application information, personally think that NRIC should be the key field for auto linked. for my case, I monitor via Amex estatement until the point transfer to my capistar account. Everything done nicely.

No need . I charge $1 at NTUC WS and get 20K star$.
But take note not all shop in CapitaMalls accept this card. Bought some stuff from Bossini PLaza Sing and they only take visa and MasterCard.

I made a small online transaction and got the extra 20K STAR$ in my account.
It was the 20K + 5 pts per $1 spent.

So for a new signup like me , it would be
54,440 pts if I spent $888 on non CapitaMalls spending.

That's a 6.13% cash back .
Or 5.63% cash back if we only count the 50K points.

Which is pretty cool.

This makes this card better than the AMEX True Cash back card, at the sign up promotion stage.
The AMEX ** was only 3% ** for the first 6 months.

Currently parking for 1st 2 hours at IMM is free on weekday.
If I qualify for 3 hours of complimentary parking for this month, and I parked at IMM for 8 hours, does it mean that I get first 5 hours free?

Anyone using this card? Friend was telling me if spend frequently at capitaland malls... rebates (after converting from star$ to voucher) you can get is much better than other cards... u get star$ 2 ways... from scanning receipts as well as when they are charged to the card...

Equivalent to 3% rebate (5% for selected merchants) in voucher form. Not bad but not really much better than other cards.
