ANA vs SQ

Took SQ last year to HND, wana try ANA so looking for reviews.

This time round probably landing at NRT due to preference for redeye flight.

Basically how is the comfort level of ANA 788 vs SQ's B777?? Using B777 as benchmark since traveled on that before and it was okay for SQ, for their NRT route and time, depart is 777 while return is A380.

Price wise for the same NRT route on the same date, ANA is cheaper by about $100 per pax.

Edit: JAL same price with ANA, good 2 seat configuration for window thou..

ANA inflight entertainment isnt as good as SQ but i feel the food is better.

Read the ANA regional 787 seating is tight

SQ got two 777, 777-300ER and 777-200, 200 is older.

ANA I find the food portion is small, good thing that I like about ANA is can choose exit row without any extra charge. ANA IFE the show is older but the touch screen quite responsive to use compare SQ one.

I taken all 3 planes before. If timing / price, all same, I will choose ANA, reason I get to sit at exit row, can strech my leg song song and also earn more airmiles via star alliance partnership.

P.S. Somehow ANA will assign senior cabin crew on the left exit row seat, but their biz class are served by junior.

I will go for Haneda again instead of Narita

SQ switching better planes from Narita to Haneda for red eye flight due to more demand.
If Haneda red eye, likely will get the newer SQ product~

Check which seating configuration is ANA's 787 for your particular flight.

They have 3 configs - 2 is in 2-4-2 and one 3-3-3. Both 8 abreast economy seats are non recline-able fixed back while the 9 abreast is recline-able.

Seat pitch is 31" - for flights outside of Asian region its 33".

Personally I find the legroom a little constrained when the seat is slide down to the max...will be more comfortable at the upright settings.

SQ's promo to Haneda rarely includes the red eye. It might be priced a lot higher than ANA.

Unless you're flying J on 77W, which is a superb product.

Are you also planning on other cities? If so, SQ has open jaw options with flights from Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

If that's the case, just top up 1k+ from HND>Tokyo airport transfer return which is 2.46k/pax..

Haneda normally people take train. price is 650 Yen.
From Haneda -> Hamamtsucho taking monorail
Then transfer Yamanote line to Tokyo Station.

Prices are all one way.

If depart from nrt on ana, there is a 6pm 77w flight, is that more preferred? It is 2-4-3 configuration so if taking this, I sure go for 2 seat side..

For the same date cheaper for sq nrt, depart is 777, return is 380 but the price is about $200 more for 2 pax compared to ana..

I think you are using the flight as a reference for what type of plane combination.
Honestly speaking, like what AHSS, his flights also kena changed plane.
It can happen anytime.
So i will say buy your tix based on destination and price.
Lastly is the type of configuration.
