For Hisense you can try ott player. It is a decent iptv app, it does have a server end for you to load your iptv playlist.
I have been playing with OTT player for sometime, until i found DIYP chinese app which is much more superior as it support many codec and protocol as well as it is formatted in txt code.
DIYP definitely look interesting but i will have to wait till i get an mi box first.
Vidaa Store only have a good free one SS IPTV which i am using it atm

yes, install nordvpn from mibox's playstore. very easy. it is fast enough for most streaming video.

for youtube, suggest to use smarttube, it is designed for tvbox, it removes all advertisement too.

dont recommend browser on tvbox to watch video.

if you want to watch tw variety shows, besides youtube, there is a better way. many of the apps from emotn store 202096 have latest tw shows, no vpn is required.

thanks !
Using Mibox, I find apps on your emotn store 545497. :D

Just wondering, emotn store 202096 have this Venus VOD 金星点播 ?

I saw this under Evpad tvbox Venus store 金星商城.

Hi hi
Can ask which tv box to buy for under $100

If it’s mecool brand
Which series is recommended ?
Also can ask how do we increase the storage of the box?

if it’s mibox S Gen 2
How do we use mouse as there is only 1 usb available?

Any other boxes can consider ?

Thanks 🙏

if mecool brand, go for km2 plus or km2 plus deluxe.

km2 plus has 16gb, km2 plus has 32gb. both of them are big enough, dont have to add storage.

but if you just want to add storage, plug in high speed usb3 thumbdrive or high speed sdcard and configure as internal share memory.

i dont recommend doing it as wrong choice of sdcard or thumbdrive will make the box slower.

i also dont recommend the use of mouse on androidTv or googleTv box. it is not necessary because they are plenty of dedicated tv app and dont have to side handphone app.

but if you just want to use it, best is to use bluetooth mouse. usb port is not needed. of course you can also use usb mouse. you can expand the no of usb port using usb hub.

I'm thinking of buying a Haqu K2 (哈趣 K2) projector. It is using a repackaged version of Dangbei OS, which seems to be a Chinese Android-based OS / launcher specialised for TVs. My question if you are using Dangbei OS or Dangbei Market is:
1. can I set the OS to use English language for system settings, keystore correction etc?
2. Can I install android apps like Plex? I know that it will not offer certified apps for Netflix or Disney+.

Apologies if it is a bit off-topic! Seeing as Dangbei OS and Dangbei market seem to be popular TV box OS and app store, I thought others here might know the answer.

This is for info. I am still using H96 Pro+ since 2017, however its firmware is android 7.1.2. I use a wireless mouse and usb keyboard. I can also connect to my Marantz AVR from HDMI for 5.1 sound movies . I load it with mod apks e.g Smartube, apple music,YTmusic,ChatGPT except those that only runs on android 8. It behaves like another android phone. Connect whatsapp as link device, respond to emails, connect to usb camera and security camera. I watch Donghau more than 10 hours a day. To solve heat generated by the processor(can reach 100deg C) I install a computer fan. I started of with WD media box, then Himedia 300-A followed by HD900B for 3D movies.

Anyone know i can install starhub tv+ app on xiaomi tv box s (2nd gen). Read that cannot find Sg in the region setting. Will it render SHTv+ useless since it is only available in sg

Hi, can I confirm that when using Chromecast (w/Google TV HD) on a non-smart TV and a Starhub TV+ subscription, the FTA and paid channels can all be watched within the SH TV+ app?

Meaning I don't have to "exit" the SH TV+ app and switch over to Mewatch app just to watch the FTA channels? The concern here is about user-friendliness of the channel surfing for non-tech savvy elderly folks.

I am trying to figure out if I can completely skip the subscription fees for the SH TV+ box and save some money ?
Appreciate the advice, thank you.

If you just want to watch free to air channels both StarHub TV+ app and mewatch app can support.

If you want to watch both paid channels and free to air channels then just use StarHub TV+ app.

I am thinking of converting a very old laptop i5-4gen to become a tv box, would you guys recommend phoenix os? Or any other os?
Also - any place to download the os ? I see it’s not supported anymore and not sure if the links I find are safe..

don't use phoenixOS.

you can run from windows, chromeOS or linux.

see this video

alternatively,
if you dont want to do permanent installation, you can create a bootable thumbdrive
