I see, that’s weird, does it affect usability? On a separate note, I can log in to StarHub tv+ on my mi box s gen 2, but it can’t seem to detect my subscription even though I’m logged in. Is it a known problem?

i am suspecting that the box somehow use a vpn. To test if this is the case, installed a Singapore vpn and then try login to your starhub subscription if it work then it is the vpn or location issue.

Mibox dont need to sideload. Just get the apk and directly installed into the box.
Google TV you can use the downloader from the playstore.
Then watch this video to sideload into google tv

very easy. put the apk files on a thumbdrive and plug in, then use one of file manager from playstore to click on the files.

alternatively, if you dont want to use thumbdrive:

1. install downloader from playstore
2. run downloader, enter 96142 to download and install emotn store
3. run emotn store, enter sharecode 202096

there are many apps there, dont install too many as your tv has limited storage and become laggy. try some of them and keep only those suitable for you. one of the app there is called apktime.

if you prefer english apps, install apktime, then you can have more english apps.

you can uninstall downloader and apktime after you set up the tv.

Thanks for all your advice. I specfically wanna to find a way to watch the latest Taiwan variety shows, either on a browser or maybe a YT app where the shows are not geoblocked. Used to watch them on a website on LG TV's built in browser, but lately the browser cant support the playback.

Is it also possible to use my NordVPN on mi box to bypass the geoblock? Thanks.

I dont support using VPN in tv box. Streaming already took up some brandwidth and with vpn it may slow it down further.
Perhap you can pm me the link to test what other browser can support the playback

yes, install nordvpn from mibox's playstore. very easy. it is fast enough for most streaming video.

under emotn store 202096, there is an app called apktime. it is an app market for english app. install it and look under best/top/recommended. you can also find under entertaainment.

the lousy iptvplus.m3u is not from me. ask the guy who claimed that it is good.

202096 mainly for vod. there are some live channel but not very good.

for china or tw live tv, check emotn store 545497.

for english live tv, install apktime from 202096. apktime is an app store, under its live section , there are a few good iptv for english tv.
