2) Minix NEO U9-H, recommend to buy the bundle A2 Lite Air Mouse, 2017 model, still a good box especially for Kodi, but a bit pricey now for its a bit outdated specifications.

Xiaomi Mi Box S. Any good offer?

Sorry I am not an expert in finding good lobang.
You may want to monitor the sales from this "Xiaomi Global Store " in Lazada. In the past this shop gave good offers from time to time, including a recent Lazada 7-year Anniversary sale -- S$75 listed with S$5 store voucher on 27 March 2019, before other coupons or credit card discounts you have.

https://s.lazada.sg/s.ekL6
Now the price is S$83 with 5% off store voucher, for Mi Box S MDZ-22-AB.

If you do not mind the older version, this is also a good buy for Mi Box Global version MDZ-16-AB.

S$66 with 5% off store voucher.

The two versions are almost identical in terms of HW specifications and user experiences.

Nowhere.....that's my point.

S$66 listed price for the Tanix TX5 Max 4GB/32GB is pretty good price. And there is an S$2 voucher.

I bought it from Taobao at RMB310 or S$62 plus 7% GST and Sea Shipment. So my one is more expensive than the Shoppee already.

use 10OFFMAY or SITEAPR5 to discount $5 and DBS/POSB card to discount additional $5 or SC card discount $6

I took the offer.

Found a $7 voucher so bought an airmouse with keyboard as well since it was also only 6.50. This will be my first TV box so hopefully can get it to work :s8:

The happycast quite good wor! Just that cannot cast youtube but is fine. :)

Yes. HappyCast works well on the Android TV box for DLNA Cast. HappyCast also supports Airplay if you have iOS device.

For YouTube, Toggle, Starhub Go, HBO Go, SingTel Cast, etc, you have to use Google Cast (Chromecast).

You guys are very good to find the lobangs. Ha-ha.

Okay lah, the lowest so far I read in this thread was S$52.85 from WindWaver for TX5 Max, from Page 97.

So you can have S$66-2-5-6=S$53 in the end with all the discounts, right? That is pretty much the same as S$52.85. Good job!

youtube has its own casting mechanism, not necessary to use chromecast or airplay if you don't have them.

make sure that your youtube on your box is TV version, you can pair the phone's youtube to your box, once it is paired you can cast youtube to TV.

hmmm just wondering, i just bought the TX5 max box from shopee and applied the 5 dollars off coupon and used a DBS card to pay. Somehow the total shows the 5 dollars off but not the DBS card discount. Why huh?

Update:
Anyway just called them and they say before i didn't buy from shopee mall, there is no 5 dollars off for dbs card.

Found some YouTube channels of TV box vendors and some OEM/OEM manufacturers.

Not a lot of contents, just for information only. Some videos show the factory behind as well.

TVB on big screen was one exclusive content for StarHub previously but now finally TVB Anywhere + is also offered for big screen by offering Android TV version on its website.

If you only need VOD, I think there are now pretty good legitimate alternative offerings to SingTel TV and StarHub Fibre TV in Singapore, with Toggle, StarHub Go, SingTel Cast, Netflix, HBO Go, TVB Anywhere+, Viu, Amazon Prime Video, Hooq, Fox+, Catchplay On Demand, etc, as well as the offering from Apple and Google.

If you need live TV, then it is still limited in Singapore. Toggle, SingTel Cast and StarHub Go only have limited choices for live TV, compared to SingTel TV and StarHub Fibre TV.
