Don't buy all those boxes that lure you with free shows!!

You use for 1 or 2 months then the server go offline. By the time the seller run away or change name liao.

If you want free but don't want to pay you will have to put in effort.
Either you use your google fu search the internet for APKs and alternatives when the APKs / Kodi addons stop working or you pony up $$ for a Netflix/Starhub tv box subscription etc.

For me i use plex/kodi to watch videos stored on my NAS. Both kodi and plex offer a streamline experience. For live shows, I use an app to stream the web page to my chromecast.

I didnt know such things. But will online store also do the same thing? Change name and run away?

Most android boxes don't have much if any software updates. The official android TV boxes like the mibox/Nvidia shield seem to be well supported. App updates is another matter

Some of these "3 years software update" are from cut throat sellers.

Better get an empty box.

You MUST subscribe to the starhub go apk for the box to be functional.
I am not sure whether you can install other apk and run with it.

It is just a Android TV box on $199 includes over 50 Live TV and Catch-up channels from Go Family for 6 months.
Or 24-months contract with Fibre Broadband $54.80 /month (box could be on rental) includes over 50 Live TV and Catch-up channels from Go Family for 24 months.

The Starhub Go App would be pre-installed.

I signed up the $199 package, no contract but need 6 months to break even.

Now I can watch on any 4 devices and streaming is excellent at home. It will cost $14.90 per month after 6 months.

I have bad experience with those pay 1 sum and 'free' TV boxes; always close down after awhile and quality is bad.

Do note that Starhub Go can only do 1 streaming per Hub iD account.

Meanwhile do checkout on those Starhub Go Select Packs.
The Go Select TV Series have TVB dramas, K-dramas, HBO and more; as in Starhub Go channels for $9.90 /month.
