Okay thanks. Is this the optimal setup? Paiseh newbie to soundbar and tv box haha.
Previously I think briefly saw someone mentioned they connect soundbar to tv box for the Dolby effect or something.
Eh, this is the standard setup.
if you don’t use hdmi arc , means you every time on/off tv, you have to on/off soundbar separately leh.
also if you connect Soundbar only to tvbox then if there are other devices connected to tv (ps5, dvb t2, etc ), No sound will come out of soundbar.

Hi guys in the last 2~3 months, I am unable to watch allrss on my Veolo 4k+ box. My firmware is android 5 lollipop. I know it is outdated but there are no more support for Veolo to update the firmware already.
Google play services need to updated but I do not know how to get it updated.

Just finding it a waste to throw a working box, anyone has any suggestion what I can do besides throwing it away?
Thanks.

Hi all need some help here. I connected my tv box and sound bar at the following:

Mecool tv box -- HDMI 1 on LG TV
Denon soundbar s216 -- HDMI 2 on LG TV (ARC)

How come my tv box sound super soft from the soundbar ?

Eg, I on YouTube from tv box , the sound from soundbar is super soft.
I on YouTube from TV, the sound is solid from soundbar.

Any specific settings to set?

From what i see is HDMi from box to tv is box input tv and output is to TV audio the soundbar hdmi 2 which output to sound bar which the tv cannot work on 2 hdmi at the same time. If it is from TV hmdi2 output is use so it is ok.
Try audio out from TV to soundbar instead of hdmi. That should work

Sorry for my confusion. Audio out from tv to soundbar instead of HDMI, is a setting in TV/box or a hardware adjustment?

When I play YouTube from tv box, the sound output from soundbar (connected to HDMI 2 ARC) is very soft and kinda muffled.

But when I play YouTube from TV directly itself , sound is normal.

Hardware, use the audio jack out from tv to the soundbar. Unless you are not using any external input like TV box

Does it means that , if I connect external input to the TV (eg, tv box / PS5) , the only way to utilize soundbar for all inputs is to use audio jack and not HDMI (ARC) ?

Currently I connected them via HDMI (ARC) both at tv and soundbar port.

it is correct to use hdmi arc.
you can also connect tv box directly to soundbar's hdmi in.
do not use audio out from tv because it gives the worst sound.

depending on the settings, you may need to use remote for tv box to increase the volume to be the same as the the volume from tv's youtube.

Ya I tried to increase volume already but it's significantly lower than usual. There's not much to change around in the tv box sound setting as well.

For tv sound output setting, may I know should I set it to
- Wired Speaker (ARC)
or
- External Speaker with TV speaker (HDMI Arc device + TV speaker) ?

For the audio mode, set it as PCM or Auto or Passthrough ah?
