Hi guys in the last 2~3 months, I am unable to watch allrss on my Veolo 4k+ box. My firmware is android 5 lollipop. I know it is outdated but there are no more support for Veolo to update the firmware already.
Google play services need to updated but I do not know how to get it updated.

Just finding it a waste to throw a working box, anyone has any suggestion what I can do besides throwing it away?
Thanks.

on windows 11, you can run android directly

if your version is lower, can run emulator or dualboot.

chromebookos flex and fydeOS are recommended.

there are older version os, use them if your system is old or less than 4gb ram: phoenixOS, primeOS, android-x86.

please note that many android apps are written for only ARM cpu, so they might not work .

I have written tutorials and posted on my facebook group. it is about 4 years ago.

thanks... recently found out MiniX no longer produce new Android media boxes, I had old one running for years due for replacement cos its slow and no more updates. So far hasn't seen any android media box comparable to MiniX so thought of turning existing miniPC and dual boot with Android OS. Let me do more research cos quite new on this, I could just buy another China made android box as a replacement but seems not so worth it after comparing the specs.

Where to buy it?
I just searched for it seems authorized dealer is Amconics (shop in SLS), expensive as hell $288 4gb ram and 64gb storage not worth it unless you specifically use it for *ehem IPTV* shows.

thanks for the offer... appreciated, I dun use facebook (boycott them long time ago) though. I plan to re-purpose one of my older minipc (6gb ram/64gb eMMC storage) which is running Windows 10 so I can only run dual boot with it. It is currently running as a 24/7 file server (upload/download) very well but I intend to replace it with a more powerful miniPC with dual LAN nic.

Let me go through those OSes you mentioned and I"ll see how it fits my own use case. ;)

one way is to backup the apps to thumbdrive and plug onto new box and install.

you can use either [es file explorer] or [apk backup & app recovery] to do the backup and install.

may not be the easiest, but it works.
