I am still using the Huawei M5 Lite China version. But Indeed I am looking at Alldocube Mini 2, Mini 3 and Mini 3 Ultra. I will wait for 11.11 Promotion.

I mentioned that Huawei M5 Lite China Edition was snappy back in 2020 (bought in late 2019). .

Now it is still pretty okay with Harmony OS 2.0, except for Douyin app (Chinese TikTok).

M5 8.4 has the Kirin 960 CPU and it is more expensive, not that worth it.

For those who prefer smaller screen, there is M5 Lite 8 inch model, based on Kirin 710.

Only got the 3G/32G configuration. Looks like not available in Singapore though.

The China version M5 Lite (M5 Youth Edition) got 4GB/64GB configuration (but no Google GMS). I have it and it is pretty snappy.

Yeah..8" cannot replace laptop.

Minimally 12" to be usable...esp if excel or Google sheets are used. Also must have a good keyboard and resolution. Poco Pad really the first budget tablet to achieve this. I travel with my Poco Pad now..laptops all leave at home since most of the stuff are on cloud now. Use Onedrive or Google Drive very easy.

I believe real 11.11 deals have not started.

Quite some vendors will actually raise the price first and then give the offer later.

Edit to add: and you are right, the current prices of the four items are higher than what I mentioned earlier. I just checked my Taobao Shopping Cart.

But this time round post coupon applied "discounted" price is still higher than normal day prices. Some of these coupons are limited to VIP or very few quantity. Probably wait for Aliexpress to see if its cheaper there.

Xiaomi Shopee Official Store Redmi Pad SE 8.7 inch WiFi version (6GB/128 GB) 10.25 pricing seems to be not bad.

Without voucher at S$151, with store voucher of S$15 it becomes S$136. You can probably apply other vouchers to get it even cheaper (I am not good at finding lobangs).

But the spec is on the lower side, like the CPU (Helio G85). The screen resolution is only at 800 x 1340.

I am looking for one with 1080p resolution as my current Huawei MatePad M5 Lite 8.4 inch tablet China version (bought in Dec 2019) has 1080p screen.
