My wife went on a slimming program with Slim Couture. something like modern accupunture but no needles involved.. i understand from her that they do gua sha on her to help increase the metabolism rate followed by cupping.. each session around 1.5hrs. she went for a total of 8 sessions and lost ard 7-8kg. well, though i also encourage having discipline by exercising, she just couldn't take it. so at least she's happy now that she's slimmer than her before pregnancy weight. seeing her happy is what matters, i guess. :):):)

Hi, was it painful? How much it cost? Were the treatments done in individual rooms? ?

Painful or not it all depends on individuals.
My friend who was on this programme told me before that they don't usually serve male customers unless they come together with their gf or spouse :s22:

They are running a promotion on fb now.. I called them today. They do accept male customers. No need to go with gf or spouse. The lady said they have individual rooms and couple rooms.

My friend's stopping her treatment cuz she got posted to overseas for work, and I think she's looking for someone to buy over her leftover treatments. If you're really keen, why not I help u ask her for the pricing? Cuz they'll definitely get you to sign for a certain amount of treatment package (with some psycho-ing of cuz) after getting your height and weight info. If I didn't remember wrongly my friend mentioned that she was requested to make full payments for those.

I think going to salon for such treatments to achieve your ideal weight is a very individual thing. It might work or doesn't work at all. So if you're just going to give it a try, I don't think it's a good idea to get psycho-ed and pay for many treatments leh bro :(

If I'm not wrong. It's at $200 per treatment. Individual rooms. And yes they only accept men who went with wife or gf. Could you have heard wrongly? I did ask my wife again.

I think she didn't lose much cuz she couldn't follow the diet instructed as she got a lot of commitments then. I think it's a very disciplinary thing. If u're gonna spend that money and do the work yourself, u might as well save the money and work your weight off yourself loll :s13:

And are u sure they accept individual male customer? I met my friend over the weekend and asked her again, she was told that they only serve male customer if it's a couple case.

if you're thinking of those New York or London slimming center... i rather you use those money on healthier options such as gym membership or aerobic classes.

1) join a gym or dance class or aerobic class
commit yourself to a 3-4 yrs membership and make it a point to go gym at least 3-4 times a week, at least 1 hour per session.
or hire a personal trainer.

2) food and drink.
change your diet slowly.
- reduce white rice intake
- reduce fast food intake
- reduce soft drinks and packet drinks intake.
- reduce seafood intake
- reduce red meat intake
- increase vege and fruit intake
- increase white meat and lean meat intake
- drink more plain wate

the point here is: If you wanna slim down, the best way is to do it the Right Way. Which is to sweat it out and work it hard.
no slimming pills. no slimming center.
If you stop going to these slimming centers or stop taking these slimming pills, your weight will 100% double back. My wife is the perfect example. she was able to slim down from 70kg to 55kg with 3months on slimming pills prescribed by doctors but once she stop taking it, her weight came back and she ballooned to 85kg.

now, she's going to gym regularly with me for the past one year and her weight dropped from 90kg to 65kg.

How did she lose weight so fast???

Hello, was wondering if getting a membership at Fitness First would be worth it if I were planning to go only for classes and not use the gym? There's a FF near my place and they provide a wide variety of classes, but I'm not sure if the price (~130/month) is worth it.

Any advice is appreciated! :)

As long as u frequent the gym (nvm what exercise u do) n the cost does not strain ur budget, why not?

I would say classes is in fact the 'best value' use of commercial gym facilities, since running u can always do outside n weights can go SSC gyms.

Slim Couture

Hello guys! I'm selling 16 sessions of Slim Couture treatment as I am going to leave Singapore for Perth for 2 years. Each session costs $200, but I'm letting it go at a discounted price of $3000 instead of $3200 for a total of 16 sessions.

Please PM me if you are interested!

Thank you
