Now experimenting with TG panel with vertical GPU & AIO, but i rotate the case on its side to use it like a tower. Case fan & AIO pump set to silent curve preference, fans under load nv go more than <1300rpm

Cpu
idle 39-45
Load 67-73
Gpu
normal desktop usage 41-47
Gaming Load 78-85

When Using Aircon, temps on avg can be about 5 degrees lower. Cpu under load doesn&#146;t go above 67, and gpu about 75-82

Very nice and the aio pump will not be the lowest point with this set up.
Means no air bubbles in the pump. The ideal aio orientation.

Yeah I know. I was thinking that the intake would have airflow good enough to push out all the hot air to whatever holes the casing has.
Need excess intake air flow to pressurize the case air flow in that way.

On paper more intake = hot air pushed out, but in reality there will be localized hot spots if there's not enough intake air directed at the hot regions

Need a lot of experimenting for the specific build that we have, to understand and get the best results.

Yeah ah. I only got 2 intake fans so it's a positive airflow but i did change and temps doesn't change one bit. It's probably the stock cpu cooler.

Not sure if you already did this, but you need 2 exhaust on top, otherwise the air will be trapped at the top (high cpu temps). Once you have 2 top exhausts, when you feel the warm air coming off the top and your cpu temps dropping, you will be convinced

Having only 2x intake at bottom is not enough air flow to push out the hot air towards the top.

Another way to visualize it is in an air con room, if the air con unit is very far away from you, you won't be able to feel the cold air as well. Need localized air flow

For TG setup, the fan config becomes even more critical since you don't have the mesh to help with air exchange.

Already said I changed to 2 exhaust and no difference. I think in an airy small case like this, it doesn't really matter exhaust or intake. It's negligible.

Not trying to argue here but for the sake of improving all our case air flows, it does matter.

I'm just saying for my case (lol pun), it doesn't affect much cause the bottleneck is the crap stock stealth cpu cooler. No matter how much or how fast the airflow is, if the cpu cooler can't expel the heat out fast from it's heatsink, it won't make a difference.

My god, that looks amazing.

I see people on reddit saying the side mounted gpu + TG will suffocate the GPU of air. Could you confirm it?

Yea i was thinking again about your scenario, that's the bottleneck now.

Once you get your new cooler and play around with the different configs that'll be fun.

Beauty of having temp sensor data to easily make changes and see measurable results :D

Temps while gaming:

CPU - 60-65 degrees
GPU - 60-70 degrees
Idle - both around 40 degrees

Using Scythe Mugen 5 Rev B for CPU cooler
Replaced the free fans (from case & cpu cooler) with Sirius Pure ASP120s

CPU cooler - 1 intake fan
Case - top 2 exhaust fans

Yes definitely, vertical/side mounted gpu with TG panel affects temps and suffocate air for the gpu.

I got to mention that my temps from testing is with my gpu power limit maxed, with +100mhz clock. So temps can be better if undervolt & reduced power limit.

With TG and no aircon, temps usually hover ard 80-82 degrees, but can go as high as 85 if it’s a hot day, but gpu fan is already 98-100% speed. gpu clock hovers below & ard 2000mhz.

If I remove the TG (open case no aircon), temps can be 68-70 degrees, with clocks ard 2040-2055mhz.

I’m using a 2.7 slot OC RTX 3070 so it sits nearer the glass. if you have a 2slot or lower powered gpu it might be better for vertical mount temps. Plus I only game at night and usually with aircon so it will help drop the gpu temps another 4-6 degrees.

From my usage, out of every 10hrs I use the pc, probably <2-3hrs is used for gaming, ie 20-30% of the time. So I choose TG and eye candy for the 70% of time I’m not. If I’m going for an extended gaming session, think i’ll just open the case or swap out the TG for the mesh panel too. Still experimenting trying to tweak to find the balance between power limit, voltage, to get the best temps vs FPS.

Changed to ID-cooling SE-224-XT and temps dropped 20C, now 100% load 56-60C lolll. Great results for a 30$ cooler. Looks great as well. Seriously what the hell

Yeah man I'm impressed. There's plenty of reviews online about this cooler and all of them showed around 20C drop from stock cooler.

EDIT: I ran again the benchmark for almost an hour and it stabilized around 60-64C, average 62C. That's 18C drop from 80-81C using the stock cooler.

Difference between me and you should only be taken with a pinch of salt cause your setup is different than mine. I can only say with certainty that changing it helped me. Maybe you could download it on steam and see your temps? Im interested in your results

yup will try out that benchmark when i have the time and share. currently using the 3600 as a placeholder, will eventually get a 5600x or 5800x if they are ever available at their "msrp", so your shared 5600x temps is a good gauge for me too ;).
