Got my IC Berlin for 1500myr thereabout including hoya lens. Berlian KSL.

Bought a back-up normal glasses MYR300+ including lens because my grandfather wanted to make and buy 2 cheaper. Some random shop in mid valley.

Got Zeiss lens some years back I think 1.5 times a hoya? Found no difference so just used back Hoya for my next pair.
fyi, in recent years, Hoya, essilor and zeiss are about the same price, ....in fact, some shops in SG quoted Hoya higher than zeiss

Mine is Korean frame (180+myr)
And Hoya lenses with multiple coatings. Progressive, blue light anti scratch etc etc

All in is 1480 myr
Hiya also got some promotion now so throw in a coating that turns my lense to darken color under sunlight, which usually cost 600 myr by itself. This time it's free

I did mine at Yong Ming Oriental KSL
I went there last time before covid for hoya progressive too and significantly cheaper than spore.

It is clearer and sharper compared to generic lens from owndays/lenskart.

Worth it or not, depend on individual. I wore zeiss and swear by it when i was younger. But then i only can have 1-2 spec due to its price. And die die need to wear the same spec until it broken otherwise wasted. Usually about 3-4 years before the lens start yellowish or coating peel off.

But after the instant spec shop like OD come out, i try and never go back. I can have few spec (for exercise, office, casual, etc.) and make new spec every 2 years, without worry about damage. Lol.

Ya did in Berlian KSL at least 6-7 pairs of IC Berlins by now throughout the years, they always give me a good deal. I think the prices went up slightly in recent years. But when I check in SG, almost $800+ for frame alone if i remember correctly.
Whats the price range in rm for ic berlin frame? Mid valley got any shops that carry ic berlin?

Just curious. Why you fixed premium lens in cheap frame? Won't it be wasted if your frame is broken earlier than the frame? Of course you can find the similar frame size if the frame is broken, but i remember quite troublesome and usually the optic shop keep pushing you to change everything.

Last time i choose branded frame like tag or ic berlin when i use it with zeiss lens.

Zeiss lens clarity is reputed to be the best.
It’s true ; the coating also quite good.
I got one which is not supposed to have anti glare nor Polarise coating but it reduced day time glare to abt 70% of the specialised lenses
