Anybody using Singtel Mesh?

That is so inconvenient and inefficient. Why cant Singtel deliver the router to me when they deliver the Mesh to me?

Do you mean Singtel only want new customers but do not treasure existing customers?

Each customer is entitled to 1 free router installation. For subsequent installation, it will be chargeable at $90/$145. Customers are encouraged to self-collect the router at their own time and convenience.

The WiFi Mesh delivery is fulfilled separately with no installer sent down as it is plug and play.

I upgraded from 300mbs to 1gbs at Sitex, do i need to collect and install the router for the speed upgrade? Or i can use my existing router will do?

Hi chongpang,

You still can use your existing router, but the experience may not be optimal (e.g. you may not be able to reach 800mbps - 1Gbps speeds).

I'll give it a try with other devices as well. The one having issue, is the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids Edition, which i think was from late 2013/early 2014. Unfortunately, its my kids complaining that the wifi does not work when they run around the house, that made me buy this mesh system in the first place. Kids dun even know what its like living without wifi!

So i tried it with a few other devices and the results are about the same. The client is able to scan and detect that the signal is strong, since there is another nearby mesh unit, but will not auto roam that unit, and will instead choose to stick to the one which it first connected to, which by now, has a signal so low that i cannot even get connected to the internet.

How do i check that my Mesh units are correctly set up?

you need to think about which one is more cost friendly to you and whether you need the extra enterprise features of ubiquitin?

from my understanding, the model you stated is a 2x2 access point whereas singtel wifi mesh is a 3x3 supporting wireless ac up to 1300mbps, and is plug and play. your ubiquitin comes with a setup which involves technicality. Moreover, the ubiquitin access point might not be able to broadcast the coverage better than wifi mesh as the mesh system works in a pair at least.

The hassle free roaming also benefits you but the ubiquitin does not, so you might wanna consider this as well..

The WiFi Mesh is compatible with the 7003 router.

Other supported Singtel-issued routers are the 7000, 7002, 7009 and AC1900.

I have switched on WiFi Mesh where both shows green light but i am unable to connect to it, it keeps showing ''Obtaining IP address...'' status and finally shows ''Network connection disabled. Internet connection slow.'' and auto switch back to my normal 5G network. Need advise.

Our advice is to forget the RG SSID, and try connecting to the WiFi Mesh SSID.

i don't think so. the mesh device is not available for purchase, but rather on a contractual monthly subscription basis.

Hi everyone, I'm having issues with the airties mesh as well. I have 2xunits of the mesh. One unit is wired to my router, and my router 2.4g/5g wifi is turned off. The other unit is in line of sight wirelessly to the first unit.

When there is line of sight from my devices/phone/laptop to the mesh units, the connection strength and speed of the mesh network is much faster than my previous 7008gr router.

When there is no line of sight (green area on figure), the wifi connection alternates between very fast (120Mbps on speedtest) to very slow(0.5-2 Mbps) or sometimes the connection drops completely and I have to manually reconnect to the airmesh wifi network.

Can anyone please advice? I've already tried all the standard troubleshooting sop, and tried different placements of the 2nd unit. But the issue of alternating connection speed and intermittent disconnect persists.

I'm beginning to suspect its a software/firmware issue with the mesh and how it handles packet routing but i'm not very well versed in networking to be able to troubleshoot.

After clicking 192.168.1.254 - Quick Setup - Wireless, i have disabled both 2.4G and 5G but still i cannot connect to AirTies WiFi Mesh.
