anyone considering altis?

Hmm, I bought my city at 103k which was same price as Elantra and they have almost the same premium features, so I don't know y it is considered expensive.

I never knew that city is a commonly used driving center car

Simple comparison,altis 7speed cvt sounds more attractive to me although no tc
And wheelbase is longer by 10cm so should have longer legroom
For me, all along city is considered a smaller car than altis, usually i won't shortlist it at that kind of budget

Y u don't buy Mazda 3? So beautiful n the interior or features r better than most if not all sedan car. Vezel is also another good choice


As for altis, I really don't understand anyone will buy it except for ah pek

Kelong izzit? I see Vezel, K3, Elantra and Mazda 3 on the roads more than Altis leh...

Have no idea how the shortlist took place. But the 3 most popular on the road, being mz3 k3 and Elantra all not inside.

I do see a few(not many) brand new City on the road thou, so do not need to worry .

Hhhmm you may not be 'right' with your choise as many may question but you will never goes 'wrong' with a Honda.

Just enjoy the ride since bought.

I totally agree that City is considered a smaller car compared to Altis.

My original choice of car was between Elantra and Altis. Cause I thought that 1.6L for sure is more spacious than 1.5L cars (sat in vios, almera, mz3 and confirmed my thinking). But when I sat in the City, the interior space confused me cause it has way more leg space than almost all other 1.6L cars I have tried. Only Elantra has similar interior space.

AL5509, yea I agree, end of the day, its still the Honda badge so it should be OK! Guess it's not popular before cause of its high price, but now there's 9k discount, its actually worth looking at it.

I think the voting results reflects the perception of the general public.. Looking at LTA data, Toyota still sells more sedans than the other makes, Mazda is close, Kia and Hyundai are not even in the same ballpark..

Toyota is smart. The buying principals surround on reliability, cost, reputation and resale value. Toyota buyers won't bother about the interior, as long not eye sore can liao. As its an uncle car, they revamp abit on the exterior to make it feel stylish abit and more 'dated'.

That's the best combo. I think the latest Altis is visually great to look at, and as long the buyer likes what it is on the interior and the other intrinsic values that comes with it, they will buy one. They just happen to belong to the majority. Not everyone wants speed, upgraded systems and/or innovations.

yah i buy toyota mostly for the reliability and also all the crap i hv seen while working in the automobile industry (with maker, not AD)

usually after 2 months, any interior is boring to me liao.
i tink the current altis does hv a better design than its predecessors and peers in the mkt now.

interior is still okay. Wish , avanza, prius are way worse!!

having said that, heheh i tink id still consider camry as my next car or is250
