ANYONE HAS A S3 HANGING PROBLEM?

my s3 current hangs like crazy..on monday it hangs 3 times.. tuesday it hangs 10 times and today it hanged 30 times.. when it hangs i always have to battery pull or hard reset.. i am not sure if its the application fault or hardware problem.. anyone has the same issue?

Try a factory reset first.
But from wad i see is hardware sotsot. go ssc and get ur mobo changed.

Yes, I've had the same problem as well.

Bought my S3 in June 2012, and started having problems with my S3 last week. All of a sudden, I found that my phone was hanging 10 - 30 times a day, forcing me to reset the phone before I could use it again.

I sent my phone in for servicing last Friday, and got it back yesterday. The counter staff explained that they reinstalled the latest firmware for me (which apparently has not been released OTA), and said that that will fix my problems.

Did it fix the hanging? NO.

It started hanging this morning again, and I suspect that there is a hardware problem they did not address.

FYI, when I was queuing to service my phone, I met another customer who said that his phone had already been serviced once but was still hanging.

I got the same issue as well, understand from the svc center, is due to the JB 4.12. Need change to 4.11 to be ok. No point reset or reflash..

Did they say how to change it to 4.1.1?

I mean, if they are asking us to flash it ourselves, it's kinda ridiculous that they can't solve it right.

tmd I having freezing problem as well. I used for 3 days only. first time using Samsung phone and kana this HTC still the best

you can use kies to refresh the software first. then observe again. My note2 also got freezing problem when people bomb emoticons in whatsapp..

my kies says new firmware found but nv show latest firmware details. when try to update. it keep ask me backup den waited 15 mins and tell me backup fail. after click proceed without backup, nth happens. champion samsung

Kies is known to be cranky at times. Try a restart and it should be fine. Or u can go to any service centre, they have a laptop there for u to refresh software. No need to register or queue, provided no one is using the laptop.

I need to go to the PS service center 3 times in a week before they 'realized' the motherboard is spoiled. User since 29 May 2012.

Like I said, I have seen alot of these cases. Mobo problems. 4.1.2 is the fix for the s3 sudden death, but did that solve everything? No, Those phone tt supposedly receive sudden death will have this hanging issue. But this one is wad i assume, I still looking in it.

Factory reset twice also no use, is it possible to rollback to the previous android version at home?

Seriously I dunno what good about s3. My htc one x is so much smoother and problem free. If not for my itchy hand rooting and eventually frying my one x mobo I wouldn't get this piece of samsung crap

some got bad luck with certan brands some got no issue

for me I got no issue with sammy and sony
only my bb got due to corruptrd fw so u need to reflash it

It is caused by the Jelly Bean 4.1.2.... They will be coming out with 4.1.3 and your phone should auto update by default...cheers, Bob
