hey guys, sorry to sidetrack but any poly grads that entered uq here?
wanna know the gpa required to get in
and how long does it take for uq to respond to an application?

There are quite a number of poly grads in UQ now.

gpa required to enter varies. Think gpa of ~2.8 will suffice for some cases.

UQ will take 1-2 months (varies) to respond

Typically, St. Lucia area avg is around 150pw. Utilities bills every 3 months. Around 30-40 dollars for electricity. Gas will be seperately billed, typically around 10-15 dollars. Food if cooked at home, each meal 3-5 dollars, depending on what you cook...

Just give it a try and apply if you are really keen. Hard to tell you how the admin side will access you, ie exemptions etc.

i did submit my O levels. they'll need to see your O levels English grade. if not u'll need to prove your english language ability

Well, if it seemed like ur posts were not judgmental then kudos to u. It just seemed that way to me ie. talking about SG mentality/mindset, ability to think like an adult etc. If u didn't mean any ill intention then alls well by me. I just wanna say that sometimes hasty replies and premature assumptions on people would probably lead to ur replies being somewhat offensive. I dun know, but thats juz me.

If you take IELTS test, it's valid for 2 years only, for migration purpose, if you have thoughts of gettin PR. It's abt 2-300 bucks for it.

I think gettin a new O cert is abt 50 bucks or so from MoE.

If you are applyin thru IDP, pls check with them.

I'm intending to persue a BIT - Enterprise information systems over at UQ
but is it possible to do a double major or minor in marketing at the same time??

and when do you guys do the planning for double majors and all.. ?

If im not wrong majors can be selected or changed when u have already accepted the course. However, to be on a safe side, its better to confirm the major first.

I dont think i heard anyone doing BIT that has double major. Mostly i heard are those that took double degree. But you can check with them and see if double major is possible. Do it early. They tend to take very long time to get back to you. Keep pastering them for answer.

May i know how much are the fees per year on average? I kinda forgot because i went through a lot of brochures and forgot about the fees for UQ.

School fees have inflated just a bit slightly, and it always depend on what modules you take or what course you're applying etc. Just drop by UQ website and find info there. Seriously it's that simple.

Nobody knows what your exact chances of admission will be except the admin side, but you should be fine. Does that assure you a bit? Just be patient and wait. If you find it's taking too long just drop IDP a call. Simple.

just 1 yr ago, it was around 11k per sem for 8 credits. So use that as a gauge or ask them directly.
