Anyone heading to UQ?

I would recommend Union College. It generally has the largest Asian and Singaporean students among all the colleges. Moreover, it is also the cheapest college among the others. If you have anymore questions, you can feel free to ask.

p.s. I had just graduated from UQ last Dec, so I think I can answer most people queries.

Agree...Moreover it doesnt seem as rowdy and wild like the other colleges (esp Intl college). More and more sg students flocking there to stay as well.

hmmm...thats not too hard to miss me in UQ i usually wear the grey SAF t shirt during summer and if i got to go to gatton the SAF issued jungle hat is a must

Then I lagi cham. I only wear cheap clothing to uni/work. Boh mia one - maybe tshirt 19 bucks from portsman and my jeans from jeanswest -59 bucks. Although , my runners are nike but I don't think they look at my shoes too much.

Well, if it seemed like ur posts were not judgmental then kudos to u. It just seemed that way to me ie. talking about SG mentality/mindset, ability to think like an adult etc. If u didn't mean any ill intention then alls well by me. I just wanna say that sometimes hasty replies and premature assumptions on people would probably lead to ur replies being somewhat offensive. I dun know, but thats juz me.

different people has different expectation. There's no right or wrong to the kind of attire one would wear to uni. Its basically up to individual. I do notice some of my Hong Kong friends tend to over dress alittle but I couldn't care much about it. Just take a step back and not argue about it, give that freshie a chance to ask questions before he/she goes over. Mannerism is never easy to gauge through text.

Anyhow, your work probably has little expectation of your attire. I have worked in different part of Aust before as well and different employers have different expectations. Some really can chin chai. Some die die must wear shirt and tie. Of course, the more casual it is the more comfortable the work is.
