Thanks for solving the second question, I was thinking if I need to use binomial , but since the answer was (none of the above), I cannot verify my answer lolz! The online paper is at the DLS site, under mid term practical test.

By the way, doesn't the 5 name from the sample has any use? Like insert into some formula, or they doesn't matter at all?
If my understanding isn't wrong, the 5 doesn't have any use in this qn except to mislead us...hehehe. Because the probability of 40% refers to the 2000 mailing list. So no matter how many sample u choose from the 2000, probability is the same and n remains the same as well.

Hahaha I really got misled there.
Oppss, my understanding was wrong. :s13:

Was doing the paper and read through the textbook, if the sample size w/o replacement (n) is < 5% of population size (N), you can use the sample size. So the question just now, we can use sample size. The Lucy Lui example given by bernard is the same except he changed the numbers. N = 10 and n = 5, thats why population size is used in the example.

I only started studying on Monday hahaha, used up my holiday just like that. Law should be easier to study, read through law and understand how it is applied.

For law, you need to understand the application behind it, and hence it would be better to discuss the question if you do not understand it. Kinda same for stats, but for the hell of me I can't understand maths at all!

hi guys,
the SIM RMIT january application is open now.
Have a question on the online form though.
It asks for my current employer and my employment history.

What do i write for that section if im now serving NS and have never had a long employment history (6months or more) other than working part time for a month or two here and there.

Any help would be great. Thanks :)

Are you seeking part time degree or full time?

If part time, jus indicate all your employment experiences (any experiences, related or non-related)

- Ultimately, they just need to know if you have any working experiences. :D

if im not wrong, the employment experiences part applies to proper full-time jobs, not those temp or part time ones. and are u sure it's compulsory?
