Same for me, my case took me abt 1.5yrs for the IO to finialized the investigation.

my that bugger hit and run and run away from the scene leaving his car behind police go up his house the catch and failed alcohol test but the IO report never indicate drink driving.

My workshop appointed lawyer tell me my case cannot be settled and is preparing to take the case to court.
Maybe the TP also want to sue that bugger because he took down some properties (sigh board, traffic lights and a few other stuffs) during the crash.

already waited for so long liao don’t mind waiting longer…
Wah…..your case very serious….
Hope justice will be served soon. :(

I no choice claim against my own insurance….my own out of pocket is about $3200

Stupid PHV driver hit my car. Clearly his fault. He doesn’t want to file insurance so I claim on my own insurance. Today I realize that his own insurance don’t want to cover him. So I got to sue him on my own. :(
His own insurance don't want to cover him? Lol... then what's the point of buying insurance. You see the whole insurance industry needs an overhaul here.

Insurance can suka suka repudiate policy end up it's the innocent party shouldering the blame.

Important Question, did you send your car to an authorised workshop approved by your own Insurance? If yes, why's your excess so high?

Yeah bro. That’s what I am trying to do. I don’t mind paying $10k, $50k just to punish the a**hole driver who try to run away without punishment.
I will try to sue the bugger. :(:(:(

you go google. They raised it up in parliament and they did nothing. :(:(:(

He isn't the first and won't be the last, if the 3rd party insurance company repudiate, the car that got hit and wants to claim, cannot claim 3rd party. End up suck thumb claim against his own insurance or pay out of his own pocket.

i dont understand this part.

if he hit your car, you take photo of the damage and his contact information + IC/car license.
then within 24hr, report to your car insurance company and workshop, go A&E see doc and make police report.
your car insurance company will do the rest.

I send to authorized workshop. My excess is $1000 because it’s my wife who’s driving. Mine is $500. The rest of the costs is the loss of use which the insurance specialist estimated to be $100 per day.
I count wrongly. Total should be $2400 ($1000 excess + $100/day x 14 days)

They didn’t elaborate in the letter. They said the driver broke their insurance terms and conditions. So they are not going to cover him. Like that also can. :(:(:(
then that fellow shouldn't even drive in the first place.

It’s a small accident and hence no injury involved. How to go A&E? :(:(:(
