The connector is the highest cost component if you get it from apple cerified source. The cable assembly process is simple and can be achieved in any decent factory. Last time our company wanted to produce a iPod dock station, the connectors we buy from certified source was the highest cost component beside the microcontroller. If I don't remember wrongly the purchasing guy told me the connector was priced at USD0.4 which is many times higher than connector with similar complexity.
The one at Daiso must be a Cheong connector to make the cost so cheap.
Anyone use the cable with sanyo Mobile Booster? i try but it show this that this cannot be use for changing.
Anyone can confirm this?
I will report back when I get home to test out on my older generation of the 5000mah sanyo mobile booster. Dun have the new one that o/p 1A per port to test though.
