Well, I really do think the promo is independent of normal rewards for at least 4 reasons:

1) If we use the ANZ travel card for the promo, the 10% is in terms of cash rebate, not the usual miles

2) assuming we get more than 150 optimum$ from the 5% already, doesn't make sense we no longer get any optimum$ from the 10%.

3) Also 5% is tagged to Calendar month, but 10% is tagged to 2 qualifying periods.

4) Most importantly the promo TnC does not mention it will affect the normal rewards. If it do, it should be emphasized

I hope you are right too. Not sure for 1) but there is some conversion formula between miles and cash?

For 2), 10% is only applicable to a max of $1500, of which 5% is awarded from the chosen cat. So still need to give 5% of that $1500.

For 3), ANZ can totally control the date of awarding of 10% to make sure they can calc properly after the normal 5% and 1%

For 4), normal rewards are not affected because 10% is given on top of that difference.

Edit : ok you are right :)

Anyone used the optimum card for ezlink reload and earned 1% rebate?

I don't think many people use optimum card for ezlink reload, as there are better cards for that. Nevertheless, I don't see any reason why not.

i think with the round downing, the smaller each bill, the more you tend to lose.

Already need to spend $500 for UOB One and Frank(Total $1000 a month). I think optimium works very well with them because it has no min(multiples of $2 for groceries?)

Why dine out? Just buy food from ntuc and cook at home lor save money. TV, T shirts, underwear, trek shoes all you can buy at ntuc lol.
