So let's say I place my AirTag in my bag, leave it in office and then go out for a meeting for around 2 hrs, the AirTag will no beep or you receive any notification?

Fundamentally, AirTag is designed to find your misplaced item and lead you to it.
Say for example, you misplaced your item and it is within the bluetooth range, you can use Find My app to locate it and UWB will lead you to the item with precision. Sound can only be triggered if the AirTag is within bluetooth range. You can try it with your AirPods or Apple Watch. Practically, they work the same way.

If the item is out of range, the AirTag will relay information through bluetooth to all the nearby iPhones and upload the latest location to the cloud so that the user who lost the AirTag will be able to know the last seen location. In this case, anyone who picks up the AirTag will be able to contact the owner.

The AirTag will not alert the owner or make any sound if the owner has lost the item until 3 days later (server side).

Mine no engraving & from day 1 it said delivers 30 apr but status like no change leh. Still processing. I guess there’s tons of stock in SG unlike iphone launches. If so then probably 30 apr itself then status will be shipped.
