Battery wear levels I guess... Unless they tweak the settings, then that's rotten apple alr.

I think it applies to those plus models too. They can't assume iPhone plus models have much better lasting batteries.

Should offer free batt replacement for all iPhone 6 and 6s owner ! Wonder the offer will extend to older iPad .

6s have a battery recall program for some batches only

After this incident, and the fact that this "feature" is going to continue, best to think twice before getting an iPhone. A year plus to 2 later, the A11 will likely also get throttled. And by then, there may not be a discounted battery replacement.

As an iPhone 6S and 7 user, I don't see why we need to bear the cost of battery replacement at all when they charged a premium price for the phone, and now because of their dodgy updates, they still earn extra money for the battery.

Does Apple service centre automatically help us update to the latest iOS after replacing the battery. Reluctant to update to iOS 11.2 as 10.3.3 still served me well on my 6s
