I have US Apple ID (free account only) and usual SG Apple ID. So I can buy paid app from SG acc and using US acc for Netflix and Siri?

If it works like iPhone, you can buy apps from both sg and USA. Guess you can switch to US to use Siri.

I ordered last Fri and delivering tmr. Will test it out

Siri works when logged in to US Apple ID. You can use "skip forward 30 seconds" or other video control commands while watching any video.

Netflix, Hulu, HBO apps detect your location (SG), it's not working in SG. It's will show the "this app is not available outside US" error.

Anybody successfully use VPN or other methods to bypass this?

I tried both the app. Simple X is the recommended one with Plex media server installed. Video explorer supported even older NAS just purely UPnP and DLNA.

Can I know does the Simple X plays most type of video files like MKV etc ? supports DTS sound also ? Does it works by itself or need to install plex media player app on NAS ? Thanks

Not sure about Simple-X but Infuse can and it's coming to Apple TV very soon (they are beta testing it now).

It can stream from SMB / NAS / UPnP / DLNA and play Dolby Digital Plus (AC3/E-AC3), DTS & DTS-HD audio. No need to install Plex or anything on your NAS.

I've both SG & US account. After installing the Netflix app via the US account, I switched back to my SG account and the app is still on the screen and was able to stream it via VPN.

On a side note, what kind of apps do you wish to see on the Apple TV? Not games cuz I am an app developer and is trying to see what people needs. Does it have a weather app?
Perhaps an app that tells you haze?

I had Infuse Pro on my iPad and love it. Great that's it is coming to tvOS - just hope it will be universal app
