From Apple Store the person inform me that apple care have to purchase from the country of the iPhone that was purchased .
Recently just brought a iPhone 14pro hk set from some shop here so was wondering how to get apple care for it ? The apple staff inform me to try call hotline to check with apple as they say apple care for different country got different agreement or what de (us apple care includes theft or such)

I suggest you call apple hotline; they specialize in these. Apple store staffs some may be experienced, some are half bucket. Problem is you won't know who is saying real facts. I recently asked about my HK set iPhone as well. Jewel staff tell me need to bring to Genius bar to do inspection etc. MBS staff told me can just call their hotline to buy.

I personally have not tried to get AC+ for my HK set as I will probably buy either close to 60days mark, or maybe try the 1-year mark (I heard this is not via Apple store)

Theoretically speaking, I believe the staff that informed you is cannon. Because Apple's coverage is international. There was a bro mentioned he exchanged his HK set in SG apple store & he had to wait 3-7days for them to ship HK set replacement to SG (Not sure if he has AC+ or not). I got a close friend of mine who’s iPhone bricked when he was travelling in Japan Pre-covid times & Apple Japan exchanged the phone for him & he got a Japan set iPhone (He has AC+)

Anyway please update us if you managed to buy AC+ for your HK set because I am interested to know too. (If I ever decide to get AC+ for my set)

AFAIK, any apple products not bought locally have to call Apple hotline to purchase Apple care+. Same like my APP1 from Korea. I walked in and was rejected. End up just need to call to get the AC+.

yea i think its likely cannon like what bro GTR said.

or you just walk into AASP and say wanna buy applecare+
dont specifically mention is hk set or what.. jus diam diam let them do their checks and sell you the apple care.
might just be able to hiong it with 10% off also.

or do it at 1 of the 3 apple stores. just say wanna buy applecare+, you might just kena a staff that just take out their device and scan the serial number, pay money and off you go. if kena newbie, will ask noob questions liao.


i had applecare+ covered for my HK ip11 set. it was bought in singapore. i did it via link when i check for serial number support and proceeded to buy the applecare+ online.
i brought it into jewel for genius bar appt before, no questions asked. they say have to wait for a couple of days for replacement and they replaced another hk ip11 for me.

Yes cannot. But if you miss the 60 days by like 2 or 3 days still can chat with apple support and buy. They allow it, will send you special link to purchase.

After 60 days like 62 or 63 days still can, but have to go through apple support chat. My sis managed to buy as she had valid reason (forgot to buy as too busy). If u want to buy after 300 days direct from apple of cos they don't allow.

Actually I never send iPhone for repair before so not sure of the process. Any future repairs is go through Alabs/QCD regardless where you bought AC+ from right?

I only went QCD once to replace APP1 before only.

What did they do to your phone when u bought AC+? Got remove case, screen protectors etc to check conditions?

Removed case to check, screen protector never remove. Connect to system to run test, take photos to show phone in good condition. Pay and that’s it.

screen protectors were not required to be removed (front and camera lens)

process was rather fast, around 10 minutes?
