AC+ can be purchased at Apple Store after 60 days but you need to pass device physical inspection and Apple’s diagnostic interface. Not sure what’s their internal name for the process, but asking for “AC+ screening after 60 days of purchase”, reps will understand.

If its a local device, the rep can take payment in-store. If device is from another region rep will then submit a ticket up to their AC+ or agreements support team (backend) to get your device to pop up the AC+ purchase page (same as the 60 day purchase page). If there’s some form of glitching, with the purchase link not showing up you can call Apple Support, they will manually generate an email to receive payment for the pending AC+ agreement.

Pretty sure the version at authorized repair centers ALAB and QCD is exactly the same except for reseller discount; if it grants an AC+ agreement it should be international warranty coverage as well.

It is just the standard local electronics distributor disingenuous language to claim “local distributor warranty”, “Singapore only” trying to say you only can get support if you buy from nobody else but us.

Pretty sure our resident Apple South Asia pte ltd spy can confirm at least for the Apple Store part of this comment.

Also, AC+ agreement date starts from *that* purchase date + 2 years. Meaning it is technically possible to go on standard 1 year warranty -1 day + 2 year AC+ stacked giving you 3 years of HW coverage in total in the iPhone if you are a relic keeper instead of annual upgrader as long as you can stay away from Customer Induced Damage on Y1.

Does anyone know if AppleCare+ is still available after 60 days (As above post in 2023)? I can’t seem to find this info on Apple’s website.

My iPhone 15 is still under the 1-year warranty, and since the warranty is ending soon, I’d like to extend it for another 2 years with AppleCare+.

Should I just walk into an Apple Store and let them know I'm interested in purchasing AppleCare+ for my device, and have them do the inspection ?

Apple care+ can be purchase as long as within the 1 yr warranty. After 60 days just go down to Apple Store and buy the warranty. They will do a physical inspection and run some test. If all okie, they will allow you to buy Apple care+. So yes, Apple care+ is available after 60 days.

Wa this is good if the unit is well kept without damage or water seepage.

Anyone executed it yet? Do pray tell. Thanks

I completed it today.

They ran a standard software test on the iPhone, and while the test was running, they removed the device from its case and began checking:

  1. All sides of the phone
  2. The LCD screen
  3. The camera and lens
  4. Submitted photos to their system
The whole inspection took less than 10 minutes (excluding waiting time).

After everything was done, AppleCare+ reappeared on my device, and I noticed there’s an 8-day countdown to purchase it.

I assumed u went to apple store? Just info them u would like to purchase Applecare+ 365?

So the check is to ensure u are eligible for it and once the AppleCare+ reappeared on your device, u r to purchase one from the phone? Or u purchase it from the store immediately after u pass the check?

Have you executed it? Did you see an extension of 2 years from today?

Just tell them you want Apple care. Don't need tell them what 365 thing. You go to the store to buy then they will carry out the test.

As long as within 1 yr warranty buy and they allow you to buy, warranty will be extended to 2 yrs. Even if you are buying on the last day.

i also successfully bought AC+ today for ip15. warranty expires in 5 days
walked into mbs, told them i wanted to buy AC+ beyond 60 days
sat down, the staff did diagnostics and physical checks (for scratches, dents, etc) - chassis, camera module, front, back
staff also ask you if any water or drop damage
was in and out of the store in 15 minutes. no appointment needed
purchased on the spot for 229
warranty expiry september 2026

if you are thinking of getting it soon, especially for launch day buyers, avoid this friday onwards (launch of new devices). you must buy it before your first year warranty is up

Yes, people are doing this, esp if you intend to keep your phone for another 2-3 yrs.
