Need to really crack the screen. Also for 1-1 exchange must have some kind of hardware defect like overheating

my 16pro gt few times kena overheating... but i didn't ss... wait till i kena,i go ss...

there is no damage that will get you 1 to 1 without paying. cause a phone cannot be damaged by itself.

but if it is a hardware failure for whatever reason, then potentially can be covered for free.. but may not be a replacement but just a repair if they can do it

Makes sense luh. In fact just like health insurance, you can't claim the benefit already and then cancel the policy and expect the company to refund you the premium.

I believe if you activate AC+ for phone replacement, you can't get the refund. Correct me if im wrong here.

I recently had to utilise AC+ for a complete replacement of my device which is old and totally smashed up, on the last few days of my AC+.
So the refund part didn't get to test/find out since went overseas right after obtaining the replacement.

Because you buy Apple care+ to insure your phone so in the event if anything happen, Apple care+ can be trigger and helps you to cover most of the repair cost. You don't buy Apple care+ and worried about not getting the refund if you trigger Apple care+ service.

Technically still can within the first year but not sure if QCD will entertain.

Might have to go Apple Store and they’ll do a check on the iPhone condition before determining whether you’re allowed to buy AppleCare+

QCD will entertain as long as within 365. But... why wanna wait until 364. Risky. Just try to buy 1 week before warranty end.

I thought need to buy AppleCare+ within the first 60 days? Coz when i collect from Apple Store, they say i need to buy AppleCare+ within the first 60 days..or buy from QCD different?

Doing a quick search will answer your question.
In summary, AppleCare+ still can be purcahsed from Apple, but needs to be vetted by Apple to be still in pristine condition before being able to successfully proceed with the purchase.

If is this case, it is more worth to get when nearing end of 1 year warranty. This is like 3 years. If get when brand new is 2 years.
