I'm more interested to know if there is any specific promotion on Apple Pay..

Right now I still can't convince myself to use Apple Pay since UOB PPV gives me 4 miles per dollar for PayWave. Hopefully UOB jumps on the bandwagon soon - the landing page is already set up below:

Amex applies 2.5% currency conversion fee for overseas purchase in foreign currency. Think you meant DCC fee for paying in SGD when overseas when you say cross border fee? Amex dun allow DCC in the first place. Also DCC fee incur for purchase via internet not relevant to applepay.

I meant spending in local currency..so USD spend in US....Visa charges some fee on these transactions that shows combined with FX rate in CC statement.

How does Amex work ?

If pay in USD in US using amex card issued in singapore will incur 2.5% foreign currency conversion fee. The transaction will be converted and reflected to SGD in the statement.
