hi to all,

i am currently, thinking of getting a hybrid, or base on the experts and experienced ones here for feedback.

apologies, as im a complete novice on bicycles

usage : training for intervals [ VO2, sprints/ all out cycle ], main goal, but of course will be east coast park type.

few questions

- ive seen a price of $560 or something for hybrid, the store dude says its the better options, if i might go through gravel or grass patch [ which is a high possibility ]

- what stuff, accessories do i have to purchase, if i need to keep the bike in good cycling condition?

- is there any shops in the east area, which i can just oneshot do the whole purchase [ including security chain, rear light etc ] how much more will be added to the tally?

- would the hybrid's, front wheel suspension make any difference ? And its it advisable to have it over grass patches or slight bumps ?

Thanks in advance for the direction and answers:s12:
can approach sd shop

maybe factor in extra 100 sgd for helmet and lock at the least

Ian Stannard (Team Sky) retained his title in Omloop Het Nieuwsblad with an incredible solo ride against the might and numbers of Etixx-QuickStep. The British rider beat Niki Terpstra in a two-up sprint in a gripping race after taking apart a three-pronged attack from the Belgian team that also included Tom Boonen and Stijn Vandenbergh. However, while credit will go to Stannard for his faultless ride, the race was marked by an utter capitulation from Etixx-QuickStep, who let victory slip from their grasp.

I initially thought 1 vs 3, no chance liao.

That is the electronic shifting system

The right side controls the rear mech it's still two paddle iirc The big one controls the up movement and the small one controls the down movement

There's a working display at shimano cycling world at national stadium

Thanks but...I think it isn't in sg right(?) What is the benefit (?) Just no fuss shift (?)

On normal conventional gear shifters , there is one for the base (?) Attached directly to the peddle one.

So this electronic di2 removes the need to shift two different gears (?)

Hi all, am planning to get a foldie for my gf to ride together. Just wondering if there's any recommendation for a foldie falling under the range of 200-250 bucks? I dont mind getting used bike but am unsure of what brands to search for. I am open to getting from taobao also. Please help to recommend disc brakes foldies if possible.

Appreciate the help!

The electronic system is available for sale since 4 years ago I think still out of reach for most cyclists cheapest is 1•2k for the shimano

The only system that uses one paddle to shift up and down is the SRAM double tap system

Main adv of electronic is that there's no cable wear so you don't need to continually adjust the tuning of the gear also the shifting is almost instaneous I rode the di2 before when it was first released in msia

The other main adv is that the gear auto trim by itself to ensure the perfect chainline
