Di2 quite expensive sia. I am planning to have it for my next bike.

So the benefits outweighs the cons?

It just like why some pple prefer manual gear over automatic and vice versa.

Personally, I would prefer mechanical shifting. That's the fun part!
Di2...ahem.....just don't get caught with a flat battery. You will be stuck in a gear. :D

Hey guys, what are the more prominent cycling groups in Singapore? Those average rolling 25kmh and above.

Thinking of tagging along to one of the group ride.

My 27.5 x 1.5 tires can go coney island? How long to explore the Island?

Yes, those tires should be fine for the island. I did the main path which is a mixture of sand and small rocks. Very flat. If you ride that only, should finish in about 20 minutes. It's not a very big place.

There are some other trails along the shore that I did not see so you may encounter a bit more difficulty.

To add on, I went there with road bike slicks 28c. No problem also.

Main thing to take note is the soft sand "pothole". You will need to control your bike well or else very easy to skid.

Edit: I just changed tires to 35c CX tires and went for 1 loop. No problem, can go quite fast when no walkers around. Just a few skids because of the soft sand again.

Confused. So di2 will use cable or wireless?

Using di2 pre-programming, does it mean it will auto change gear according to terrain? Means i don't even need to press any button.

Anyway i think i like internal gear hub more, because almost maintenance free.

The Di2 system requires u to have electronic cables connecting to the various components. Unlike the Sram, the RD and FD is wirelessly connected, the STI to hub still has cables like the Di2

something like this?

the other is synchro shifting using one shifter, but only for MTB Di2

internal gear hub is good, but it is heavy

Internal hub dont need 3 gears at crank. Also to less off rear cassettes. So overall maybe heavier just a little?
