Hi HH,
Just wanna ask if my employment period for different coy is as follows
#1 -2years
#2 - 6 months (left due to different job scope from what was conveyed during interview and JD)
#3 - 1 year (got laid off)
#4 - 2.5 years
Like that consider as job hopper? How do I put it in resume so employers won't brush me off as a job hopper before even asking why did I leave my precious roles?
Job hopper the term is subjective.
First of all, yes you will be considered a job hopper
Secondly, the main thing is,
"why did you leave your past companies"
This is critical. For example, if you work and the company go bankrupt, then you will not be faulted for leaving after 3 months
Sorry.. Just to clarify.. The folks I mention above started out in banking that's why their salary is so high considering their age and rank.
And applications related role will almost always be paid higher than Infrastructure people. They are assumed to deliver more value since they are closed to business

It is not because they work in banks therefore their salary is higher.
The nature of the banking industry is that, they have some applications/infrastructure which is unique to financial institutions.
and these command a lot of pay if you are an expert.
Things like T24, Triple A Odyssey, etc
For desktop roles... Best to support traders.. If your payroll is under that trading business unit that would be better.. Than those shared services one.

Yes. Especially if you are an expert in Reuters and Bloomberg troubleshooting, your salary will be quite good.
