I don't understand how headhunter works. How does a headhunter add value to the hiring process arh?esp for the pay range u r doing... Is not like u have exclusive access to exceptional individual or ppl in senior management.
Simple.
In the market there are 3 types of people usually
1) Those that are very actively looking for a job. Always scan job ads, etc. Have some relevant experience
2) Those that are open to look for job, but not active. Don't scan job ads, etc. Got good relevant experience
3) Those that are actively looking for job, but don't have relevant experience.
A typical complain is, when companies post a job ad, got 100 people apply, but only 1 person is suitable.
But a lot of HR people don't have time to see every single cv in order to get to that one person. Imagine if that person who applied is the 100th person.
Because they also do
1) Payroll
2) Compensation and benefits
3) Other duties
Thus
1) They help the company save time so they can do other things
2) They help the company get the best people to join them (because usually the best people are those who are not very actively looking for jobs)
Remember, time is a finite resource
