Not necessarily. Depends on the contract the recruitment company sign with the client

Employment restriction clauses are rather contentious.

While it is not illegal to have them in contracts, whether the courts will enforce it is a separate matter altogether.

Dear headhunter, thanks for enlightening all of us so far. I have a few questions of my own that i hope you wont mind answering :D

I am currently into the 5th year in a european bank, recently did an internal transfer from ops to risk. My questions are:

1) Assuming I wish to move to a separate company after doing another 1-2 years, would my prospective employer only consider that 1-2 years of relevant experience or would they also look at the 5 years previously (in the same company) for salary?

2) Is FRM certification useful for risk managment in general?

3) This might seem too general but have you ever seen people transitioning from 1 area of risk in the FI to another (e.g. credit to mkt risk etc?) Is it possible?

Hi headhunter :),

Would like to consult you on the prospects of transitioning from govt to private sector doing forensic accounting related jobs.

Is there a market for it and will the pay increment be worth it? As I am currently internal transferring within my firm, only the job scope most directly related to that area will be counted as work experience?

One question on background check:

Lets say I broke a few rules. Made some mistakes. E.G. Got fired etc.

So in my background check I declared them by stating Yes...

Will I fail the background check and not get the job?

Banking risk and compliance job. Super high demand and not many supply of people. As it is a sensitive and critical job most employers don't want to hire foreigners

No your first few years in ops will not be relevant.

Frm is useful but not without the relevant experience.

Possible? Yes. But highly unlikely. They are too different

Yes. But you should not be applying for jobs you are not interested in working in both short and long term

Thanks.

Salaries that consultants listed are discounted as in companies will be willing to pay candidate higher if they were to source themselves but after outsourcing they factored in consultant fees and therefore pay candidate less.

Fact or myth ?

The higher your salary, the more the consultant gets.
It's in the consultant best benefits go secure you the highest salary possible.
