I'm in my current company for about 6 years. And my salary has increased 60% over the years. Should I stay or hop?

I would say stay until pay cannot increase unless promoted.

From the looks of it every year on average you get 10% increment which is quite good

Thank you , in your opinion is it worth to transit out? As in would there be significant pay increments/prospects.

Imo if you are confident of your abilities you should transit out. Civil service got limited room for growth but stable job.

Private sector got a lot of opportunity to grow but not as stable

Banking risk and compliance job. Super high demand and not many supply of people. As it is a sensitive and critical job most employers don't want to hire foreigners

One question on background check:

Lets say I broke a few rules. Made some mistakes. E.G. Got fired etc.

So in my background check I declared them by stating Yes...

Will I fail the background check and not get the job?

HH u miss my question

You will be subjected to what is known as a soft reference

Basically you must declare who is your ex manager during the time you were fired and his contact no.

Either the new company hr or the recruiter will call him up to ask about questions regarding your performance at work and why you were let go

They will also call your company hr to verify that the guy is really your ex manager to make sure you are not lying

They will then decide if they want to hire you or not

thank you

For internship ideally. But what would really help is for you to highlight your achievements at school both in your cv and cover letter.

Address to the manager in charge or the recruitment manager in charge.

Don't bother calling in cos they won't entertain you

Hi HH, if i received a lower annual package as I went through recruiter ie; paid lower for the role. Is there any way to justify for salary for next jump in the future?

Whatever you are interested in.
There are people who find risk and compliance jobs boring as hell.

Just because it is in demand doesn't mean you will like the job

In theory you should not be receiving a lower salary because you went thru a recruiter because I mentioned many times their commission is tagged to your salary.

And for your next move like mentioned depends on your skills, length of stay in company, etc

understood your point. But hiring company do take into account commission to recruiter as part of internal equity etc right?
