Between these 2, which is better? Is onboarding under kyc operations?
Pardon me but what's the difference between kyc ops and kyc compliance?
Kyc compliance are those doing private banking/corp banking on boarding of clients?
Kyc ops are those doing yearly refresh/remediation of clients?
How's the career progression like for both?
Few facts
1) Both private banking and corporate banking have KYC ops and KYC compliance
2) Both KYC ops and KYC compliance have onboarding
but
KYC ops is more focused on documentation, and their clients are usually lower risk or medium risk
KYC compliance is more focused on analysis and their clients are usually high risk
Reason why most people say KYC compliance is better is because
1) Accounts they deal with are more high risk
2) The analysis they do is deeper
3) KYC compliance is an escalation for KYC ops (usually)
