Between these 2, which is better? Is onboarding under kyc operations?

Pardon me but what's the difference between kyc ops and kyc compliance?

Kyc compliance are those doing private banking/corp banking on boarding of clients?
Kyc ops are those doing yearly refresh/remediation of clients?

How's the career progression like for both?

Few facts

1) Both private banking and corporate banking have KYC ops and KYC compliance
2) Both KYC ops and KYC compliance have onboarding

but

KYC ops is more focused on documentation, and their clients are usually lower risk or medium risk

KYC compliance is more focused on analysis and their clients are usually high risk

Reason why most people say KYC compliance is better is because

1) Accounts they deal with are more high risk
2) The analysis they do is deeper
3) KYC compliance is an escalation for KYC ops (usually)

just wonder,
fresh grad, starting my 1st fulltime job, initially the company kinda of let me know the pay through email,I think the pay is ok although I feel it is low 。。。but cox I think a friendly working environment for my 1st job is important。。
then now,the LoA come, I just realize that the pay is break down to basic+ performance, no OT pay, bonus at company's discretion, no dental allowance as well...
cox the working hour is long(54hrs),

Well then you should clarify with them. But variable components (like performance bonus) are usually not factored into the amount they give you and should never be

hi hh,
any comments on career prospects for RM in sme corporate banking (structured finance)?

Well the career prospects for RM for large corporates are far better than SME.

SME banking the pay usually not very high and they pay more by commission, whereas RM for large corporates the base pay in the long run is much higher, but no commission (whereas you are given bonus)

is SME banking RM a good place to start? what are the chances of progressing to RM for large corporates?

Hi, I'm caught in a dilemma and need some advice:

I got an offer from Co.A, Local but big company as Finance exe (although job title applied was accountant). Currently negotiating pay, will need to reply by Monday.

I just went for Co.B 2nd round interview few days ago, Jap MNC as Regional Financial Analyst. Role and job scope is really what I want, pay will most likely be lower than Co.A.

Now I am stuck because I've already make known to Co.B that I have an offer so I need an ans by Mon. Hiring Manager specified they still like to meet another candidate but i'm currently the first choice and would not like to hold me back. Now my dilemma is should I accept Co.A (good with SAP experience but job scope not as what I want for Co. B), or should I Reject Co.A and contact Co. B that I would like them to reconsider me with the other condidates. I might end up with 2 rejected opportunities in the end. Any one can offer their share of opinion?

thanks.

You are not their first choice if they would still like to interview other candidates. Just saying.

Hi HH,

I was being offered with a 3 months contract. However, I do have another upcoming interview so i asked the agent to give me till end of the week to settle the interview. The agent agreed.

So what happened was I asked the company B's recruiter if i could push forward the interview. When i ask if it is a perm or contract role, the recruiter replied like this :

We basically trial you first between a week to a month depending on your role before confirming you.

We trial you for a variety of reasons:

1) Culture fit
- aptitude, attitude, team work, tenacity, passion, integrity

2) Skillset
- performance, hard skills, soft skills, and depending on your role - the necessary skills to outperform them

Is it possible for companies to consider hiring in this manner?

Please advise.

Depends on how much lower. But you can verbally accept company A while waiting for company B (because no contract is signed yet)

1) No, because due to our service level agreement, the candidate must stay with the company a minimum 6 months, therefore we will get the "best fit" candidates
2) Yes, as long as the person has relevant working experience
3) Yes, because they lie about a lot of things

Too generic, marketing has many forms, you need to be more specific

No idea, as i don't cover this area

Well even if they give you a permanent role, there is still a probation period also where you will be trialed on cultural fit and skillset.

Although usually it is longer than 3 months

No it has no effect.

If you don't get offered it means you are not the best candidate for the job even if you don't have ict you will still not be offered

Is it possible that the job is taken up and the headhunter doesn't let the other candidates know?

I've been waiting on a job for almost 2 weeks and last communication from my headhunter was exactly 1 week ago.

Well it means the consultant is either lazy to update you or they are still in the process of offering the person or the person has yet to accept
