As per title, must be easy to link up with my samsung smart led tv (yet to purchase), either 6600, 7000 or 8000 series and also link to 3D bluray and my xbox360 and playstation 3.
Thank you

Hi!

Below 1.3k budget, you can consider YHT-S401 and YAS-101.

YHT-S401 - $1049 [Features]
YAS-101 - $599 [Features]

You can have your sources like BD Player, PS3, xBox, etc, link up via the Inputs available on the 2 mentioned models.

Cheers!

Hi

WHen playing back Blu Ray- DTS disc on my YSP2200 , i noticed the audio decoder is at PCM. WHen i switch to DTS audio decoder, no sound comes out. THere is no problem with Dolby Digital DVDs-the Dolby digital is information is displayed. PLease advise on how i can get DTS out from the YSP 2200.

thanks

I believe most Blu-ray players do not enable DTS or Bitstream output by default...
you will probably need to turn it on in the player configuration menu.

Hi bro,

Do me a favour.

Confirm if what you saw is a Dolby ProLogic or Dolby Digital.

Then i can understand better.

Cheers!

Hi Lavender,

Thank you for your purchase.

Orange RCA Cable is meant for Coaxial use.
If your sources are all being hook up with Audio & Video cables, this RCA you can keep it.

Cheers!

Hi Lavender,

Correct. If no blockage, don't need to use IR Flasher.

Cheers! :)

Hi
When playing Blu Ray(DTS) , Signal info = PCM , surround decoder = PL II movie , Decoder = Auto.( No sound when decoder select to DTS) .

I have already switched settings accordingly on my SONY S380 blu ray. All linked up with HDMI-Monster.

Tks

Hi Cruzer,

In your case, i think what kun1he2 bro mentioned is correct.

You need to "Bitstream" output your BDVE380 over HDMI inorder for your HT system to decode the HD Audio.

When you see Surround Decoder shows PLII Movie, means Dolby ProLogic II Movie is enhancing your PCM signals. Not decoding the HD-Audio signals.

Cheers!

101 vs 401?

Hi Yamaha,

As compare between 101 & 401 soundbar, what's the pros and cons other than the pricing. Mine is a 4rm flat. Both support 3D samsung smart led tv? 401 comes with woofer where 101 don't. Any promotions ongoing for both? tks

I managed to get the DTS signal after i connect to coaxial cable from BLU ray to YSP. I had thought this was not necessary with HDMI.

I'm interested in getting a Yamaha for my living room.

What's the difference between a digital sound projector and a front virtual surround system?
