hi,

Does YAS-103 comes in white?
Went to HN, the salesperson say only black in sg.

Hi bro,

YAS-103 in White will be available soon next month in Harvey Norman. But likely to be in only two selected stores. At this moment, we are awaiting for Harvey confirmation. So we cannot advise a exact date. Hope you understand.

Cheers!

It is true no AVR can handle Video streaming. If you would need video streaming, you will need a video streaming capability products such as the Neox mini or Blu-ray player or Smart TV Built-in Video streaming features to do it.

Cheers!

Hi Yamaha,

Can i rephrase my qns before i really give up and buy a media player. Now that i can access my movies folders and files stored inside my NAS via input server, i cant play the movies! Anything or settings i have not done or it is not possible for A1030 to play movies directly from NAS?

My TV able to read and play but no sound! Pls help.

Thanks

Bro, remember this logic.

AVR - Audio Streaming, No Video Streaming
Blu-ray Player - Can do both Audio / Video streaming if Blu-ray player support. Example here.
Media Player [Apple TV/some other brands] - Can do both Audio / Video streaming
Network TV - Can do both Audio / Video streaming if TV functions support

The Server Input will detects your PC "Musics" files and able to playback direct over Network. Not Movie files. If you need to playback Movie, use your Smart TV or Media Player to stream video contents from PC to your Media Player.
Then output the HDMI from Media Player into your AVR.
This way, you can playback Movies while the audio will be handle by AVR, and the AVR will output the video signals into TV for you to watch.

Hope it helps.

Thanks!

Thanks Yamaha,

Have finally understand all the enquiries I have and watching movie every night before sleep :D:D:D

I could play my movies with my TV, blu ray player and software of my snology player output to TV and sound via A1030. Only vocal projection not that loud as sound effect is always louder than speech but I guess its the audio files format.

Anyway thanks for all the help and will continue to support Yamaha.

Cheers

Hi euro ... as for me, I don't have NAS but I share my folders
and at the same time using serviio media server free software.
This software enable you to stream media files to render devices
on connected network. I works brilliantly on my panasonic 220 and my marantz SR5008 ... ;)

where to audition yamaha sound bars?

I'm having difficulty finding a place to audition the yamaha sound bars. Anyone can suggest where I can go? That also gives good prices?

Some place only few models and often not displayed correctly.
With my sofa against the wall also means effect won't be good vs a 5.1 setup right?
I need a bar with 1hdmi in and 4 hdmi out. Also it should allow ARC and HDMI control via the TV. Is this call Any net?
My budget is 1k to 1.5k so which model...recently so many updated I lost count.

Hi you may visit Courts Megastore to audition and check out the price there.

Look for our representative Amos.

We have not launch any of these yet as i mentioned to you.
Once our retailers and dealers have put up their demo i will let you know again.

Meanwhile in this Aug/Sep we will launch RX-A840 and RX-A1040, while RX-A2040 will not launch in Aug. Most probably will be Sep/Oct period.

Cheers!

Hi
The A1040 using sysmetrical psu and how does it compare to A840 and high current psu use by others ?
Can u explain the sysmetrical power used ?
Do each 7 channel have a dac chip ?
Is the 2 sub woofer channel independence from each other ?
May I ask preout signal is only analog n not filter after DAC ?
Thanks

Is it a good buy for YAS-152BL? Shall I buy a external sub woofer as well?
Court offering $549 for YAS-152BL.

I'm looking for soundbar with bluetooth connectivity and ideally fit in my 50in wall mount LED TV to enhance my sound quality. Please advise if any other recommendation. Thank you.

Went to yamaha at Tampines...cannot find anyone that can allow me to test. Courts salesman say not here yet and is 1+pm near 2.
The system don't look nice...so decided not to buy it.
Does anyone know if any sound bar allows audio pass thru?
