there are cheaper models from other well known brands. range from $55 onwards.

shld get the PRO36SD with new i7 CPU instead. other configs r essentially the same. eg. dimension & battery. many ppl got it frm singtel n r selling in the forum here. cost abt 1k-1.2k.

I noticed that those selling during last PC show c/w 5400rpm hdd. Mine is 7200rpm

Thinking of getting the PRO36SD. I saw it in one of the shops in Funan selling for 1598 with ext optical drive thrown in. Is it a good buy since Singtel has been bundling them as free gifts. Not sure whether is it advisable to get it. What other brands and models are comparable to this?

just got a Asus specs sheet from best denki/challenger...sorry can't remember cause went alot of place yesterday. SRP is $1498, after $100 rebate is $1398. Dun know why yrs is more.
