Asus Laptop Users Thread - Part 2

Hi everyone,

using an K43SVi7 (comes with 01 USB 3.0 port) & recently got a USB 3.0 Portable HDD to transfer files from my Laptop. However, when I try to copy some files (over 1 GB+) from my Laptop to the HDD via the USB port for the 1st time, it seems to be taking quite a long time (indicated as over 6mins in the transfer window box). Tried to plug the HDD to my USB 2.0 ports & run the same transfer & also indicated as 6 mins over.

So does it mean that I've a faulty USB 3.0 port that's running @ USB 2.0 transfer rate? Or do I actually need to do something to "open/ enable" the USB 3.0 port before using it? Is there anyway that I can check on this on my end? Will appreciate all advices & comments. Thanks!!

check your power4gear settings? Think there can enable/disable USB3.0 Superspeed

Hi guys, i am currently having this problem with my asus k43sv notebook. My wireless connection will disconnect automatically after using the internet a while and i can't connect to my home network and including other networks.. I just switch to fibre internet yesterday. However, my other laptop at home is working perfectly fine.. Anybody here know what is the root cause of this problem, is it a faulty wireless card in my laptop??

uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers...

Need recommendations on ASUS multimedia laptops..

Hi to all experts out there,

I need some recommendations for ASUS multimedia laptops. I had a small budget of $1k-1.5k.. Need some advices. If possible, tell me the places to buy as well.. =)..

Anyone found any thread linking to any promo price brochures for upcoming IT show 2012 ?? I m interested in U46SV or U41SV mentioned in the feb product guide, anyone seen it anywhere ? Which outlet can I find them selling at?

K43SA-i7 or N45SF-i5?

Hi All,

Looking at the brochure, any recommendations on either K43SA-i7 or N45SF-i5? or is there other better ones out there that is abt the same price. =)

I was looking at k43sa-i7 jus now too, but drop the idea after the wt mismatch my needs, it's 2.4kg

Planning for u46sv next at 2kg, almost same price...

Yeah still too early for brochures but it should follow closely with the feb product guide which i posted on e previous page
