How do we toggle between on-board and nvidia when switching between battery and AC power? Last time got switch easier. Now only P4G which the profile doesn't stick. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi

I just purchased the laptop G74SX today.

I tried running WOW but after about 2 minutes, the whole laptop shuts down.

Any idea what is wrong?

Many thanks

overheat?

10 char

that was my initial guess..but wow isn't a very graphics intensive game and this laptop is made to handle intensive games ><

I am waiting till WOW finishes updating before trying again....i tried playing while the updater was still downloading.....

you could check if the air vents are blocked or something. these gaming laptops tend to overheat a bit.

No experience playing WOW so i have no idea how intensive it is. :s22:

in the nVidia graphics control panel, there is an option for a system tray icon that can tell you if dedicated graphics is used and if so, what program is using.

Hi guys, recently (2 weeks ago) bought an Asus N55sl for my interior design course. Things were working rather fine till today, bought my laptop to school to download all the necessary software for course usage before school term starts.
Downloaded big size software/ programs like MS office, Adobe CS5 master collection, autocad etc...

Now, when i switch on my laptop, it takes a longer time to start up.
For example, the windows 7 icon loading part before you key in your pw, and also after you key in your password, bringing you to the start up/ desktop...
It's all lagging and slower..

Any possible solutions?
